Used CD Grade

We use the all-encompassing grade "Used CD" for non-new CDs because we only buy and offer used CDs in the best possible condition.

When you purchase a used CD you can expect the disc to be free of all but the lightest of surface marks, the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves), and the booklet to be in good shape. Used CDs may show some signs of use, but if there are significant details or defects we describe the item's condition (just like we do with LPs), so look for notes on cutout marks, stickers, promo stamps or other details before ordering.

All of our used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws. After you receive a used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine that it plays correctly. If it does not, you can request a return for a full refund.

Condition Notes

If something is relevant, we try to describe it in the notes — especially if it is release or packaging details, or an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the CD. This might include, but isn't limited to, scratches, tracks that skip, case/insert damage or wear, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Johnny Get Angry
Warner (Japan), 1962. Used
Dreamy girl pop from the young Joanie Sommers – a set that's got the lady singing in a style that's a bit more chartbound than some of her later recordings, with lots of cool and groovy backings that give the album a wonderful sense of pep – and a slight undercurrent of sex as well! ... CD
AVA/Fresh Sound (Spain), 1963. Used
Great work by a great singer – the far under-recorded Irene Kral, a lovely lady who really bridges a number of different camps in the vocal jazz world! At one level, Irene's got the coolness of a Christy or Connor, but at another, she's got a more open, swinging, and soulful style – ... CD

Liberty/EMI (Japan), 1959. Used
Julie London couldn't look sexier on the cover – reclining in bed, on the telephone, breast falling out of her nightgown, with the suggestive title emblazoned across the top – almost like some sleezy ad from the back pages of a local newspaper! The music more than delivers on the ... CD

Cassandra Wilson

Glamoured
Blue Note, 2003. Used
Don't let the title put you off, because Cassandra Wilson's sounding as soulful as ever – with none of the fluff that you might think from an album called "Glamoured"! The sound is mellow and laidback, with a group that includes Wilson on guitar, alongside a few other guitarists, ... CD

12th Street/Warlock, 2001. Used
One of our favorite moments from that great Andy Bey comeback in his later years – a time when the singer returned to recording after too much time away from the studio – and with a rich quality that offers a maturing version of the music he gave us in the 60s and 70s! At some level, ... CD
