I Want To See Pulaski At Night

LP (Item 196535) Grimsey, 2013 — Condition: Near Mint-
Temporarily Out Of Stock

LP, Vinyl record album

✈
❔
(Cover has a tiny center split on the top seam, minimal wear.)

Near Mint - (minus)

  • Black vinyl that may show a slight amount of dust or dirt.
  • Should still be very shiny under a light, even with slight amount of dust on surface.
  • One or two small marks that would make an otherwise near perfect record slightly less so. These marks cannot be too deep, and should only be surface marks that won't affect play, but might detract from the looks.
  • May have some flaws and discoloration in the vinyl, but only those that would be intrinsic to the pressing. These should disappear when the record is tilted under the light, and will only show up when looking straight at the record. (Buddah and ABC pressings from the 70's are a good example of this.)
  • May have some slight marks from aging of the paper sleeve on the vinyl.
  • Possible minor surface noise when played.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Mercury, 1973. Near Mint-
Hard and heavy guitar rock – kind of in the Thin Lizzy vein, and with a very tasty drummer! Our favorite cut on here is "Spider's Web", which has a great and unusual drum break at the beginning – one that goes on and on and on, with some good guitar fills that sound almost ... Magna Carta

Lord Of The Ages
Vertigo (UK), 1973. Near Mint-
A set that seems to scream "prog" with the Roger Dean image on the cover and its placement on the Vertigo label – but instead a great batch of acid folk from the glory days of the scene – served up by a core trio with some larger arrangements from Tony Cox, almost evoking an ... William Lyall

Solo Casting
EMI (UK), 1976. Near Mint- Gatefold
The only solo album ever from William Lyall – an artist with ties to 70s UK pop giants Pilot and The Bay City Rollers – although don't hold that latter reference against him, as the music here is much like his work in Pilot! As with that group, the songs here are wonderfully sharp and ... LP, Vinyl record album

Roxy Music

Siren
Atco/EG, 1975. Near Mint-
Quite possibly the biggest early moment of US fame for Roxy Music – thanks to the classic "Love Is The Drug", which kicks off the album and is easily one of the group's best-known tunes of the 70s! The album tightens things up slightly from the sound of Country Life before – ... LP, Vinyl record album

Raspberries

Fresh
Capitol, 1972. Near Mint-
The sweet second album from the Raspberries! The Rasperries were all about the songcraft, bringing sort of an unpretentious, midwestern charm into original tunes that build from the sophisticated pop of the breezy LA scene – much more so than on the Brit Invasion-learned debut album. Fresh ... LP, Vinyl record album

Art Blakey

Indestructible
Blue Note, 1964. Sealed
Maybe one of the most famous records ever from master drummer Art Blakey – in part because of the cover, which has come to stand for the Blue Note aesthetic of the 60s! But despite that famous image, the music is more than worthy of attention – as the group features that unusual sextet ... LP, Vinyl record album

Eric Dolphy

Out To Lunch
Blue Note, 1964. Sealed
One of Eric Dolphy's lasting classics – and possibly the ultimate album of "new thing" jazz from the mid 60s! Herbie Hancock

Maiden Voyage
Blue Note, 1965. Sealed
A brilliant album – and real turning point for Herbie Hancock! After first coming onto the scene as the soul jazz hero between Blue Note funky classics like "Watermelon Man" or "Blind Man, Blind Man" – Herbie emerges here as a concerned modernist with a strand of ... LP, Vinyl record album
