Black vinyl that may show a slight amount of dust or dirt.
Should still be very shiny under a light, even with slight amount of dust on surface.
One or two small marks that would make an otherwise near perfect record slightly less so.
These marks cannot be too deep, and should only be surface marks that won't affect play,
but might detract from the looks.
May have some flaws and discoloration in the vinyl, but only those that would be
intrinsic to the pressing. These should disappear when the record is tilted under
the light, and will only show up when looking straight at the record.
(Buddah and ABC pressings from the 70's are a good example of this.)
May have some slight marks from aging of the paper sleeve on the vinyl.
Possible minor surface noise when played.
Additional Marks & Notes
If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially
if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record.
This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
The kind of UK folk the Topic label did so fantastically well back in the day – featuring the trio of Enoch Kent on guitar, Gordon McColloch on guitar and banjo, and Bobby Campbell on fiddle and mandolin – plus vocals from all three, and some button accordion from Tim Lyons! LP, Vinyl record album
A beautiful record from the overlooked 70s years of the Topic label – with Tom Gilfellon on vocals and guitar – plus some guest guitar from martin Carthy on a few tracks too – and other instrumentation from Liz Sobell that includes harmonium and dulcimer! LP, Vinyl record album
Great work from the lovely June Tabor – a set that has some surprising use of keyboards that works better than you might think – on titles that include "Streets Of Forbes", "The Earl Of Aboyne", "Cold & Raw", "The Easter Tree", "Reynard ... LP, Vinyl record album
Completely haunting work from this aged singer from East Anglia – very much the sort of material that the Topic label delivers better than anyone else! LP, Vinyl record album
One of the best-remembered albums from the great Tom Rush – a set that gave the world his well-recorded title track (and the classic "No Regrets"), and which also has Tom really reaching out with a proud new style! The record expands the core sound of Rush in ways that roughly echo ... LP, Vinyl record album
Beautiful work on guitar and sitar from the great John Renbourn – with flute from Ray Warleigh, plus concertina, viola, and percussion – on titles that include "Trotto", "Lamento Di Tristan", "Veri Floris", "Alman", "The Lady & The ... LP, Vinyl record album
