Feitico Moleque

LP (Item 194647) Continental (Brazil), 1986 — Condition: Near Mint-
Originally: 14.99
(Includes the printed inner sleeve. Cover has promo imprints, ringwear, some heavy edge wear, small split in the top seam, bent edges and corners, and a small tear at the opening.)

Near Mint - (minus)

  • Black vinyl that may show a slight amount of dust or dirt.
  • Should still be very shiny under a light, even with slight amount of dust on surface.
  • One or two small marks that would make an otherwise near perfect record slightly less so. These marks cannot be too deep, and should only be surface marks that won't affect play, but might detract from the looks.
  • May have some flaws and discoloration in the vinyl, but only those that would be intrinsic to the pressing. These should disappear when the record is tilted under the light, and will only show up when looking straight at the record. (Buddah and ABC pressings from the 70's are a good example of this.)
  • May have some slight marks from aging of the paper sleeve on the vinyl.
  • Possible minor surface noise when played.

Condition Notes

If something is relevant, we try to describe it in the notes — especially if it is release or pressing details, or an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Viva A Brotolandia
Continental (Brazil), 1961. Sealed
Some of the earliest work ever recorded by Elis Regina – issued here on a set that brings together her first two albums in one package! The sound here is quite different than the Elis Regina sound of the 70s – a lot brighter and more youthful, without as many of the somber overtones ... LP, Vinyl record album

Pery Ribeiro & Luiz Eca

Pra Tanto Viver
Continental (Brazil), 1986. Very Good+
A warm intimate session of jazz vocals by singer Pery Ribeiro – who get some extremely sensitive backing here from pianist Luiz Eca, probably best known to folks as the leader of the Tamba Trio. The sound is spare and clean, and Ribeiro delivers some of his best vocal performances in years. ... LP, Vinyl record album

Very very cool compilation of tracks that seem to be designed as an "export", even though the record was produced by Philips in Brazil. Som Livre (Brazil), 1973. Very Good-
A killer Brazilian soundtrack! The record is a mix of funky easy tracks – in a Blue Brazil kind of mode – with other titles played by trumpeter Marcio Montarroyos that have a jazzier edge to them. One of Astrud Gilberto's greatest albums – and quite possibly our personal favorite!
