Used CD Grade
We only use the grade "Used CD" for non-new CDs.
This all-encompassing grade was chosen it because we only buy and offer
used CDs in the best possible condition.
When you purchase a used CD you can expect the disc to be free of all but the
lightest of surface marks, the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves),
and the booklet to be in good shape.
Used CDs may show some signs of use, but if there are significant details or
defects we will describe the item's condition (just like we do with LPs),
so look for notes on cutout marks, stickers, promo stamps or other details before ordering.
All of our used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws.
After you receive a used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine
that it plays correctly.
If it does not, you can request a return for a full refund.
A really amazing little record – one that's partly in the "jazz meets Indian" mode of Joe Harriott's experiments of the 60s – but a performance that also brings in a lot more from spiritual jazz, even though most of the instrumentation is more traditional! The set is live, ... CD
One of Wynton Kelly's greatest albums, and an all-star hardbop session that includes Lee Morgan, Wayne Shorter, Paul Chambers, and Philly Joe Jones. With Philly Joe on drums, and Morgan and Shorter, the LP almost has the feel of a classic Art Blakey session for Blue Note, but Kelly's piano gives ... CD
The title's a reference to the fact that the album's a long-overdue debut as a leader for pianist Willie Pickens – a player who was important in the Chicago scene for years, but had never made it into the studio until the late 80s. The set's an odd one – in that it features a fair ... CD
Beautifully understated work from trumpeter Roy Hargrove – an open, laidback session that's easily one of the best he's done in years! Gone are the urban sounds of his RH Factor records, and the more cerebral modes of some of his other jazz sets – and instead, this time around Roy's ... CD
Susie Ibarra on drums and percussion, John Lindberg on bass, Assif Tsahar on bass clarinet, Chris Speed on clarinet, Cooper-Moore on percussion and piano, Wadada Leo Smith on trumpet, and Charles Burnham on violin. CD
A quintet date with Golson on tenor, Curtis Fuller on trombone, Kevin Hays on piano, Tony Reedus on drums, and James Genus on bass – plus guest trumpet from Jean-Loup Longnon on "Blues March". CD
Woody Shaw's debut for Columbia Records – and easily one of the most soulful major label jazz sessions of the 70s! The album's a beautiful summation of all that Shaw had done in the years before – his soaring, searing lines that first came to play as a sidemen for others, then took new ... CD
A bit hit for Stanley Turrentine – and a pretty darn nice record of extended groovers, with a harder sound than you might expect from the tongue-licking cover, and a title of Sugar! The record's only got three cuts – one of them Stanley's famous version of "Sugar", the other ... CD
Early Benny Carter recordings featuring Carter with the Chocolate Dandies, McKinney's Cotton Pickers, Kai Ewan's Orchestra, and as a leader of his own large group. Includes 70 tracks on 3 CDs. CD
