An amazing leap forward for the incredible Walter Wanderley – a record that has him mixing his earlier bossa groove with the wider vision of late 60s A&M/CTI – supported by an amazing cast of American and Brazilian artists! The vibe is wonderful from the very first note – a ... LP, Vinyl record album
An excellent bit of lost Brazilian fusion Hugo and Jorge Fattoruso, produced by Airto Moriera! Opa recorded Golden Wings in the Fantasy studios with that sweet west coast vibe that the best albums of the label had at the time. Spacey keyboards and drums drive the sound brilliantly here, with bits ... LP, Vinyl record album
An obscure batch of jazzy samba tracks from Nonato Buzar – an overlooked talent who's one of Brazil's best soul samba artists of the 70s! The record's got a really strong presentation style – Nonato's guitar is upfront in the mix, and he sings lead vocals on most cuts, augmented by ... LP, Vinyl record album
A repackaged version of Djavan's early album from 1976 – with a nice edge that's rawer than the material he later recorded for Columbia. Dreamy album of sweeping jazzy arrangements by this ex member of Tamba Trio. Helcio plays tamba and sings, and the backing's got a cool baroque feel with lots of moody changes. Tracks include two great versions of "Asa Branca" and "Bebe", plus some cool originals. This came ... LP, Vinyl record album
An excellent groover from this great Brazilian guitarist! Sete's in fine form here, definitely more "autentico" than on other albums – and he grooves nicely with a bossa sound, and backing by a good rhythm combo that includes Sebastian Neto on bass and Paulinho on drums! Titles ... LP, Vinyl record album

A full album of The Peppers' quirky moogy soul, with loads of funky instrumental tracks that have a cool little moog sound running through the top and a funky groove on the bottom. 70's issue of one of the Donald Byrd/Pepper Adams sessions for the Warwick label, from the early 60's. The groove is nice and hard, with a very tight, very in-the-pocket sort of sound. A young Herbie Hancock plays piano, and he lays down solos that are a lot more daring, and with a lot more fire, ... LP, Vinyl record album
