This P*ssy Belongs To Me – The Second Rudy Ray Moore Album

LP (Item 18964) Kent, Early 70s — Condition: Very Good-
Rudy Ray Moore's second album, and almost hipper than the first – thanks to some key musical backings from The Fillmore St Soul Rebellion! The vibe here is as rough and raw as you'd expect – a no-holds-barred version of party records, with Rudy using plenty of language hardly heard this strongly on record again until the hip hop generation. The music's often mixed a bit lower than the vocals, but is still present enough to make things sound funky – and titles include the classic "Mr Big Dick", plus "The Gorillas Are Coming", "California Poetry", "Hurricane Anne Meets Dolemite", and "40 Pounds of Chitlings". Language is raw – so be warned!  © 1996-2025, Dusty Groove, Inc.
(Original Kent pressing. Cover has a split spine, half split top & bottom seams, surface wear & aging, a few tiny peel spots, staining along the spine & top seam.)

Very Good - (minus)

  • Vinyl may be dirty, and can lack a fair amount of luster.
  • Vinyl can have a number of marks, either in clusters or smaller amounts, but deeper.
  • This is the kind of record that you'd buy to play, but not because it looked that great. Still, the flaws should be mostly cosmetic, with nothing too deep that would ruin the overall record.
  • Examples include a record that has been kept for a while in a cover without the paper sleeve, or heavily played by a previous owner and has some marks across the surface. The record should play okay, though probably with surface noise.

Condition Notes

If something is relevant, we try to describe it in the notes — especially if it is release or pressing details, or an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Arista, 1975. Very Good+ Gatefold

A landmark double-live album that was easily one of the most important soul record moments of the 70s! Eddie was one of the kings of the Latin Hustle – taking the elements of the burgeoning New York salsa scene, and linking them up with the growing dancefloor trends at the end of the 70s. Need To Know You Better
Motown, 1978. Near Mint-
A surprising lost disco charmer from 70s Motown – one of those records we passed by for years, but which we find out we love once we get the needle into the groove! Back On The Block
Quest/Warner, 1989. Very Good+
