Talking About My Baby/The Gallop

7-inch (Item 18930) Flaming Arrow, Early 70s — Condition: Very Good-
Out Of Stock

7-inch, Vinyl record

✈
Nice lost single on the rare Flaming Arrow label! Side one has a beautiful weepy southern soul track by the great Gloria Walker, and side two features "The Gallop", a storming instrumental by The Mighty Chevelles. It's a real groover, with a fast drum-driven groove!  © 1996-2024, Dusty Groove, Inc.
(Original pressing with SP suffix.)

Very Good - (minus)

  • Vinyl may be dirty, and can lack a fair amount of luster.
  • Vinyl can have a number of marks, either in clusters or smaller amounts, but deeper.
  • This is the kind of record that you'd buy to play, but not because it looked that great. Still, the flaws should be mostly cosmetic, with nothing too deep that would ruin the overall record.
  • Examples include a record that has been kept for a while in a cover without the paper sleeve, or heavily played by a previous owner and has some marks across the surface. The record should play okay, though probably with surface noise.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Rays/Fisherman's Day
Funk Night, 2019. Near Mint-
A moody little funk track from the production genius of Misha Panfilov – whose work seems to be moving more and more into a category of its own! "The Rays" has a strange, spare vocal chorus that's abstracted and echoed in the production – used wordlessly alongside an echoey ... 7-inch, Vinyl record

Wand, 1976. Near Mint-
A great little track – one that's best known as something of a Miami soul hit, thanks to versions by KC & The Sunshine Band and George McCrae. This version's equally great – but done quite differently, as an east coast type club track – lots of strings soaring over the groove ... 7-inch, Vinyl record
