A tasty collection of some of the best work the Last Poets ever recorded – their early sides for Douglas records, a perfect blend of jazz, percussion, and poetry – hence the very apt "Jazzoetry" title! The album mostly features tracks from the albums Last Poets and This Is Madness – and provides a great distilattion of the energy and intensity that first defined the group.
