Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Used CD Grade

We only use the grade "Used CD" for non-new CDs. This all-encompassing grade was chosen it because we only buy and offer used CDs in the best possible condition.

When you purchase a used CD you can expect the disc to be free of all but the lightest of surface marks, the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves), and the booklet to be in good shape. Used CDs may show some signs of use, but if there are significant details or defects we will describe the item's condition (just like we do with LPs), so look for notes on cutout marks, stickers, promo stamps or other details before ordering.

All of our used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws. After you receive a used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine that it plays correctly. If it does not, you can request a return for a full refund.

David Bowie

Aladdin Sane
Virgin, 1973. Used
One of our favorite David Bowie albums ever! Aladdin Sane was a real turning point for Bowie – recorded on the heels of the tremendously popular Ziggy Stardust album, but really pushing the boundaries past the more straight-ahead rock and glam of that record. Instead of just sitting on his ... CD
Virgin (Japan), 1974. Used
The seminal debut of Hatfield & The North – a group that maybe came a bit late in the UK prog scene of the early 70s, but who had a huge influence for decades to come! The quartet are a late transformation of the earlier Canterbury sound – leaner, maybe jazzier, and with a great ... CD
Virgin/Caroline, Early 80s. Used
Some of David Sylvian's first truly brilliant work – recorded right after his tenure in the group Japan! Brilliant Trees is a sparkling batch of tunes that shows Sylvian as one of the most underrated singer/songwriters of the 80s – not as genius as his Secrets Of The Beehive album, ... CD

Low (remastered)
RCA/Virgin, 1977. Used
The Thin White Duke turns to the east – and gets a whole new sound with help from Brian Eno! The album is an amazing departure from some of David Bowie's previous work – a set that's sparer, more spacious, and which is often instrumental – quite a statement, given Bowie's ... CD
Virgin/EMI (Japan), 1982. Used
A really pivotal album from XTC – a set that still has the group able to deliver the kind of tight, catchy work that made their early singles so great – but one that also really has them expanding out into a group who really understand how to put together an album the right way too! It' ... CD
Arcangelo/Virgin (Japan), 1970. Used Gatefold
A really cool set, one that's led and produced by singer/guitarist Lee Jackson – in the midst of lots of other guitars, both acoustic and electric – all recorded with a nicely spacious vibe, and blended with organ, mellotron, and percussion! There's a great psych folk vibe to the set ... CD
Virgin/EMI (Japan), 1973. Used Gatefold
Roxy Music's third album, and a record that really shows that the group have found a tremendous voice of their own – quite a thing to do, given the heady brew of records that were coming out in the year of 1973! There's a style here that's familiar enough to draw the listener in – ... CD

Pink Floyd

Relics
Capitol, 1973. Used
An early 70s collection of previous work from Pink Floyd – and a crucial display of the younger group's charm to folks who'd only discovered them in the longform jamming years! The set's got some great vocal gems from the Syd Barrett years, plus the kind of fantastic guitar work that the ... CD
