Chet Baker Live – I Remember You

LP (Item 180286) Circle (Germany), 1984 — Condition: Sealed
One of the really fantastic sessions that Chet Baker recorded for the Circle label in the 80s – and one that's got a bit more umph than some of the others, as it features work from Bob Mover on alto and soprano, and Jon Earley on flugelhorn – in a drum-less group with Dennis Luxion on piano and Rocky Knauer on bass. Tracks are nice and long – and include "Night Bird", "Belle Meade", and "Tempus Fugit".  © 1996-2024, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Sealed

This is what it says, that the record is still held fast in shrink-wrap. We tend to be pretty suspicious about these things, so if the shrink-wrap doesn't look original, or if the record seems to have undergone some damage over time, we'll probably take it out of the wrapper to ensure that it's in good shape — which is why we don't have more of these. In some cases the shrink-wrap may be torn in spots, but if it's not possible the record has been taken out and played, the record will still qualify as "Sealed".

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

One of a handful of late 50s albums that Chet Baker recorded for Riverside – all of which are some of his last great 50s work in the studio, before a shift in the 60s to a wider-ranging approach to his music! A rare Italian-only album from Chet Baker – wonderfully cooking small group work that's a far bit greater than his more familiar "with strings" session recorded in Italy during the same period! An overlooked late 60s treasure on Blue Note – one of the few new groups to work on the label at the time, and an up-and-coming modern combo from Detroit!
