Warner/Reprise Display Case Vol 3

LP (Item 171177) Warner/Reprise, 1972 — Condition: Near Mint-
2LP Gatefold
Label sampler with cuts by Faces, Captain Beefheart, Halfnelson, Malo, Dionne Warwick, Little Richard, Kenny Young, America, Ry Cooder, Peter Yarrow, Judy Collins, Doug Kershaw, Jerry Garcia, Crazy Horse, and Tracy Nelson.  © 1996-2024, Dusty Groove, Inc.
(Cover has a promo sticker, some ringwear, yellowing from age, minor blemishes, and a peeled spot at the bottom.)

Near Mint - (minus)

  • Black vinyl that may show a slight amount of dust or dirt.
  • Should still be very shiny under a light, even with slight amount of dust on surface.
  • One or two small marks that would make an otherwise near perfect record slightly less so. These marks cannot be too deep, and should only be surface marks that won't affect play, but might detract from the looks.
  • May have some flaws and discoloration in the vinyl, but only those that would be intrinsic to the pressing. These should disappear when the record is tilted under the light, and will only show up when looking straight at the record. (Buddah and ABC pressings from the 70's are a good example of this.)
  • May have some slight marks from aging of the paper sleeve on the vinyl.
  • Possible minor surface noise when played.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Pearls Before Swine

Use Of Ashes
Reprise, 1970. Very Good+
An incredibly beautiful album from Pearls Before Swine – one that uses light orchestrations to create a baroquely folksy sort of feel – easily elevating the album past previous efforts, into classic territory we'd rank with the best from Nick Drake or Leonard Cohen! Beau Brummels

Beau Brummels
Warner, 1975. Near Mint-
A 1975 reunion from the Beau Brummels – recorded after the ill-fated solo career of vocalist Ron Elliott, but done in a way that definitely shows some of the deeper themes of those later years as well! The style's a bit more polished than the group's previous Warner albums – but not in ... LP, Vinyl record album

Pentangle

Sweet Child
Reprise, 1968. Near Mint- 2LP Gatefold
A fantastic double length set from Pentangle – a record that's certainly noteworthy for the twin guitars of Bert Jansch and John Renbourn, and for the heavenly vocals of Jacqui McShee – but one that also has this amazing rhythm pulse, with subtle jazz currents – thanks to work ... T Rex

Slider
Reprise, 1972. Very Good Gatefold
T Rex's phenomenal second album since moving into a heavier glam mode, following the great Electric Warrior LP – still standing firmly as one of the best purely rocking, trashy fun rock & roll albums of the 70s! Fleetwood Mac (1975)

Santana (1969)
Columbia, 1969. Near Mint-
