Live Band # One

LP (Item 159360) , Early 70s — Condition: Very Good
Obscure live material – with titles that include "Wheels On Fire", "I Shall Be Released", "King Harvest", "Rocket Chair", "Chest Fever", and "Slipping & Sliding".  © 1996-2023, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Very Good

  • Vinyl can have some dirt, but nothing major.
  • May not shine under light, but should still be pretty clean, and not too dirty.
  • May have a number of marks (5 to 10 at most), and obvious signs of play, but never a big cluster of them, or any major mark that would be very deep. Most marks should still not click under a fingernail.
  • May not look near perfect, but should play fairly well, with slight surface noise, and the occasional click in part of a song, but never throughout a whole song or more.
  • This is clearly a copy that was played by someone a number of times, but which could also be a good "play copy" for someone new.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

The Band's epic double live album from '72, when they were at their peak – arguably a more exciting listening experience than even their best studio albums, which they always (wisely) considered a different universe then the live stage. What's Up Tiger Lily?
Kama Sutra, 1966. Sealed
An excellent soundtrack to one of the wildest Woody Allen movies ever made – a weird little film that has Woody dubbing fake English dialogue over a Japanese action picture! Neu

Neu!
Brain (Germany), 1971. Near Mint- Gatefold
The groundbreaking first album from Neu – maybe not the earliest record in the Krautrock generation – but a set that certainly set a new sort of standard after it was released! Lovin Spoonful

You're A Big Boy Now
Kama Sutra, 1967. Sealed
The soundtrack to Francis Ford Coppola's first film, and a surprisingly groovy batch of tracks! John Sebastian composed the whole score, and unlike most of the other albums by The Lovin Spoonful, this one's got a lot of instrumental numbers, arranged by the great Artie Schroek – short little ... Journey (UK pressing)
Epic, 1974. Near Mint-
The third solo album by Colin Blunstone – the magic-voiced singer who was lead vocalist of the Zombies, and went on to cut some god-like solo work in the early 70s! Switched-On Rock

Acid rocky moogy stuff! The record's one of those "let's do a lot of pop covers on the moog" – and it features moogy updates of 60's tunes like "Get Back", "Jumpin' Jack Flash", "Feelin' Groovy", "Yummy Yummy Yummy", and "Time of the ... LP, Vinyl record album
