cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
A stellar album from Grant Green – very different than most of his other work for Blue Note, and a sly electric groover recorded with vibist Billy Wooten! The sound here is a bit more spacious than some of Grant's earlier albums, yet no less funky – thanks to a hip undercurrent of soul ... LP, Vinyl record album
One of the first albums to feature the trumpet of Blue Mitchell in a larger group – a really great move that let his soulful horn really come to the lead! Blue sounds wonderful here – soaring out in front of larger charts from Duke Pearson, Jimmy Heath, Don Pickett, and Melba Liston ... LP, Vinyl record album
Heavy funk from Reuben Wilson – one of the last great organ players to emerge from the 60s Hammond scene, and one of the hardest hitting cats at Blue Note during the funk years of the label! The album's a tight one all the way through – performed with a combo that has Idris Muhammad ... LP, Vinyl record album
Insanely wonderful music from Andrew Hill – a lean, stripped-down session that has Hill working at his firey best – in a space that's somewhere between the "new thing" recordings of Jackie McLean, and the brooding brilliance of Andrew's later Smokestack session! The group ... LP, Vinyl record album
A very nice groover from Jimmy – and a session that was recorded earlier, but not issued by Blue Note until the end of the 60s. The format is hard-wailing sextet – with Blue Mitchell on trumpet, Ike Quebec on tenor, and Jackie McLean on alto. Jimmy's usual trio at the time holds the ... LP, Vinyl record album

The groove here is a bit harder than some of Person's previous soul jazz sets – with some tightly snapping ... LP, Vinyl record album
A monster – and quite possibly one of the greatest Fender Rhodes albums of all time! Bob James is really at the height of his powers here – stepping out with a sound that's a lot smoother than some of his earlier work, yet in a groove that's never too slick or too overproduced – ... LP, Vinyl record album
Funky big band stuff, and sort of a lost LP on the great GWP label. The tracks are all long, with that sort of rockin' big band sound that's similar to the funky 70's Stan Kenton recordings, or some of the records by the Daly Wilson Big Band. The album includes 4 tracks – two originals, ... LP, Vinyl record album
Kenny Dorham plays sweet hardbop trumpet on the two different sessions that make up this LP. One session's got Cannonball Adderley on alto and Cedar Walton on piano, with sort of a sweet laidback sound, as with some of Dorham's other sessions from the time. Track on this one include "Blue ... LP, Vinyl record album
