The classic first album from Delegation – a great male soul trio from the late 70s, and one who sound great on both sweet mellow tunes and more upbeat ones! Delegation have a sound that's quite unique, especially on this album – a groove with slightly tropical traces on some numbers, and a way of putting over a tune that borrows a bit from the earlier east coast harmony scene, but which wraps things up in a completely different style of production. The balance is hard to describe accurately, but it's definitely a standout for the time – and a real maturation of an earlier male soul group mode.
