Hello There Big Boy!

LP (Item 142539) DJM, 1979 — Condition: Near Mint-
(Cover has a cut corner and light wear.)

Near Mint - (minus)

  • Black vinyl that may show a slight amount of dust or dirt.
  • Should still be very shiny under a light, even with slight amount of dust on surface.
  • One or two small marks that would make an otherwise near perfect record slightly less so. These marks cannot be too deep, and should only be surface marks that won't affect play, but might detract from the looks.
  • May have some flaws and discoloration in the vinyl, but only those that would be intrinsic to the pressing. These should disappear when the record is tilted under the light, and will only show up when looking straight at the record. (Buddah and ABC pressings from the 70's are a good example of this.)
  • May have some slight marks from aging of the paper sleeve on the vinyl.
  • Possible minor surface noise when played.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Hall & Oates

Private Eyes
RCA, 1981. Very Good
What can we say? We winced at this one back when it came out, but over the years, it's got a real "Free Soul" appeal to us – with vocals that are surprisingly soulful in parts, some nice 80s mellow soul instrumentation, and even a few hooks that are real guilty pleasures. Includes ... LP, Vinyl record album

Human League

Fascination
Virgin/A&M, 1981/1982. Near Mint-
Some great early 80s pop groove material from Human League – less of the colder synth of before, and more of the warmer soul-based sound that worked surprisingly well for the group! The EP features a number of tracks that fell between the LPs – including the extended version of their ... LP, Vinyl record album

Columbia, 1964. Near Mint-
Bob Dylan's fourth record, and close runner up to Freewheelin' as the masterpiece of this early stage of his career. While the overly arch Times They Are A Changin' pretty much stood as the cornerstone of classifiable folk rock at the time, Another Side is just that. Dense, elliptical, and ... Crazy World Of Arthur Brown
Track, 1968. Very Good+
A wild, far reaching psychedelic rock kaleidoscope from Arthur Brown and his Crazy World! Sticky Fingers
Rolling Stones, 1971. Very Good-
Landmark work from The Rolling Stones – and a set that may well stand alongside Exile On Main Street for capturing the group at their height! Beggars Banquet

One of the greatest albums ever from The Rolling Stones – a set that still draws on all the bluesy roots of their best 60s material, yet which also shows a sharper, nastier edge as well!
