Bob Dylan – Historical Archives Vol 1

LP (Item 138745) Go International (Italy), Early 60s — Condition: Near Mint-
Rare material from 1961 and 1962 – titles that include "Two Trains Runnin", "Pretty Polly", "Car Car", "Ramblin On My Mind", "Song To Woody", "Man On The Street", "He Was A Friend Of Mine", and "Talkin Bear Mountain Picnic Massacre Blues".  © 1996-2023, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Near Mint - (minus)

  • Black vinyl that may show a slight amount of dust or dirt.
  • Should still be very shiny under a light, even with slight amount of dust on surface.
  • One or two small marks that would make an otherwise near perfect record slightly less so. These marks cannot be too deep, and should only be surface marks that won't affect play, but might detract from the looks.
  • May have some flaws and discoloration in the vinyl, but only those that would be intrinsic to the pressing. These should disappear when the record is tilted under the light, and will only show up when looking straight at the record. (Buddah and ABC pressings from the 70's are a good example of this.)
  • May have some slight marks from aging of the paper sleeve on the vinyl.
  • Possible minor surface noise when played.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Bob Dylan's fourth record, and close runner up to Freewheelin' as the masterpiece of this early stage of his career. Bob Dylan

Nashville Skyline
Columbia, 1969. Very Good+
Dylan's wonderful foray into country rock – the great Nashville Skyline! He takes his voice into a strangely crooning arena that we hadn't heard from him before or since, kinda adding a mysterious vibe of the whole thing. Columbia, 1967. Very Good+
A pivotal album for Bob Dylan – a record that continues the Nashville experiment of Blonde On Blonde, but which compresses it a bit more – almost like he's re-folding the electric energy back into the darkness of the spare sound of Times They Are A-Changin! Bob Dylan

Bob Dylan
Columbia, 1962. Very Good-
Sure, the young Bob Dylan might look a bit hokey on the cover – but he's already out there way ahead of the pack – and starting to blow away any of the less interesting pop folkies who'd been crowding into the Greenwich Village scene of the early 60s! There's a difference here right ... LP, Vinyl record album

Hall & Oates

Private Eyes
RCA, 1981. Very Good
What can we say? We winced at this one back when it came out, but over the years, it's got a real "Free Soul" appeal to us – with vocals that are surprisingly soulful in parts, some nice 80s mellow soul instrumentation, and even a few hooks that are real guilty pleasures. Includes ... LP, Vinyl record album

Human League

Fascination
Virgin/A&M, 1981/1982. Near Mint-
Some great early 80s pop groove material from Human League – less of the colder synth of before, and more of the warmer soul-based sound that worked surprisingly well for the group!
