This is what it says, that the record is still held fast in shrink-wrap.
We tend to be pretty suspicious about these things, so if the shrink-wrap doesn't
look original, or if the record seems to have undergone some damage over time,
we'll probably take it out of the wrapper to ensure that it's in good shape —
which is why we don't have more of these. In some cases the shrink-wrap may be
torn in spots, but if it's not possible the record has been taken out and played,
the record will still qualify as "Sealed".
Additional Marks & Notes
If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially
if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record.
This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
One of the coolest soundtracks we've ever heard from Georges Garvarentz – a composer who could do straight work when he wanted, but also turn out some nicely jazzy grooves – as he does on this mod classic from 1964! Garvarentz works in a sweet blend of strings and well-tuned ... LP, Vinyl record album
One of the grooviest soundtracks ever – an insane treat throughout! The music is very different than anything that George Garvarentz ever did before – and maybe since – as he brings together all sorts of cool jazz, funk, and psychedelic elements with effortless ease – then ... A fairly straight orchestral score by John Barry – written for this early 60s film that starred George Segal, Tom Courneay, and Denholm Elliott. The film's a war one, and the themes are pretty typical for that sort of thing – but they do have some nice instrumental touches that push ... LP, Vinyl record album
A hell of a soundtrack from the great Johnny Mandel – maybe his jazziest work of the 60s, and perfectly scored for this groovy cop film that stars Paul Newman as the 45-wielding title character! The vibe here is almost more 60s Quincy Jones than anything else – with sublime ... LP, Vinyl record album
Although this one's got a striking picture of Africa on the front cover, a pretty captivating title, and an Italian name in the composer credits, it's actually a pretty straight soundtrack – mostly strings and orchestral passages, handled in the dramatic mode that Ortolani used often on some ... LP, Vinyl record album
A great document of the hippest thing going on TV at the time – the full absorption of the 60s underground into mainstream TV culture! Producers Rowan and Martin bring together a cast that includes Henry Gibson, Joanne Worley, Dave Madden, Ruth Buzzi, and Goldie Hawn – all doing a ... LP, Vinyl record album
Not as famous as other Henry Mancini soundtracks of the 60s – but a gem through and through, and a record that really shows the maturing talents of the maestro! The album mixes together lush orchestrations with some of the lighter jazz you'd expect from Mancini – the latter a nice ... LP, Vinyl record album
A very groovy soundtrack, for a very groovy little movie – the quirky Good Times, directed by William Friedkin, and kind of the precursor for the Sonny & Cher TV show! The record differs a bit from the usual Atco album by the pair – in that, along with the vocal numbers, it also ... LP, Vinyl record album
A tremendous little soundtrack – even if you've seen it a million times! Simon & Garfunkel always had a really dark quality to their music, but it never seemed to show as much on the pop charts as it did when used brilliantly by Mike Nichols in this important film. Their tunes emerge in ... LP, Vinyl record album
