The best of two self-titled albums by this hip LA vocal quartet – recorded for Blue Note with arrangements by Jerry Peters, and jazzy soul style that reminds us a bit of Creative Source on their third or forth LPs. The group were heavily in demand as backup singers on studio sessions – so they've really got their chops down here – and the approach of the album really sets them in territory that makes it difficult for them to take any wrong moves. Titles include "Trying Hard To Look Inside", "Crazy About You", "Motherland", "Blinded By Love", "To Be There", and "You Are Lost In My Dreams". © 1996-2024, Dusty Groove, Inc.
