(Original mid 80s issue. Includes the printed inner sleeves. Cover has a Made In England sticker in back.)
Near Mint - (minus)
Black vinyl that may show a slight amount of dust or dirt.
Should still be very shiny under a light, even with slight amount of dust on surface.
One or two small marks that would make an otherwise near perfect record slightly less so.
These marks cannot be too deep, and should only be surface marks that won't affect play,
but might detract from the looks.
May have some flaws and discoloration in the vinyl, but only those that would be
intrinsic to the pressing. These should disappear when the record is tilted under
the light, and will only show up when looking straight at the record.
(Buddah and ABC pressings from the 70's are a good example of this.)
May have some slight marks from aging of the paper sleeve on the vinyl.
Possible minor surface noise when played.
Additional Marks & Notes
If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially
if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record.
This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
A wonderful bit of funky folksy rock – one that has Shawn Phillips working with members of The Headhunters, including Paul Jackson, Bill Summers, and Mike Clark. The best of the cuts may well be "Hie Away", one that juxtaposes Phillips' artsy folk vocals against some smooth jazz ... LP, Vinyl record album
One of the most mindblowing sonic experiments of the 70s – Lou Reed's legendary Metal Machine Music opus! The double-length set is a really revolutionary batch of music – hardly what you'd expect from Lou's previous records, and a noisy, metallic album that really lives up to its title. ... Sure, the young Bob Dylan might look a bit hokey on the cover – but he's already out there way ahead of the pack – and starting to blow away any of the less interesting pop folkies who'd been crowding into the Greenwich Village scene of the early 60s! There's a difference here right ... LP, Vinyl record album
An amazing album of raw power from Jimi Hendrix – recorded on New Years Eve 1969, right as the 60s became the 70s – with a stunning sound that certainly presages the hard rock decade to come! Jimi's working with his trio that features Buddy Miles on drums and Billy Cox on bass – ... LP, Vinyl record album
The breakthrough classic – with titles that include "Two Hearts Beat As One", "Sunday Bloody Sunday", "New Year's Day", "40", "Surrender", "The Refugee", "Red Light", and "Seconds". LP, Vinyl record album
Titles include "Give Me Love", "Sue Me Sue You Blues", "Try Some Buy Some", "The Lord Loves The One", "Who Can See It", "Don't Let Me Wait Too Long", and "That Is All". With some help from Ringo Starr! LP, Vinyl record album
A killer from Ahmad Jamal – a Fender Rhodes record that stands as a nice contrast to his equally great work of the 60s! Jamal was already a master of the subtle, soulful touch – and on Fender Rhodes, that quality comes out even more strongly – given some light support from ... LP, Vinyl record album
