This image is a general representation of the item and the actual product may differ slightly in terms of color shading, logo placement, borders, or other small details. Used items may have various cosmetic differences as well.
If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially
if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record.
This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
Used CD Grade
We only use the grade "Used CD" for non-new CDs.
This all-encompassing grade was chosen it because we only buy and offer
used CDs in the best possible condition.
When you purchase a used CD you can expect the disc to be free of all but the
lightest of surface marks, the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves),
and the booklet to be in good shape.
Used CDs may show some signs of use, but if there are significant details or
defects we will describe the item's condition (just like we do with LPs),
so look for notes on cutout marks, stickers, promo stamps or other details before ordering.
All of our used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws.
After you receive a used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine
that it plays correctly.
If it does not, you can request a return for a full refund.
One of the first real moments of genius from the young Stan Getz – his collaboration with guitarist Jimmy Raney, whose sharp tone matched the rasp of Stan's tenor beautifully! The material's got a lot more edge than Stan's work with guitarist Johnny Smith – and this set features ... CD

A gem of a session from Stan Getz – recorded in 1975, but unissued until the mid 80s! The set was probably lost amidst the flurry of more dramatic jazz recorded by CBS at the time – as it's a relatively understated session that has Stan blowing with acoustic accompaniment from Albert ... CD
Some of the most hard-edged work cut by Stan Getz in the early years – a great reminder that he could really open up with the best of the bop world – and not just lay back and get mellow with an electric guitar! The setting has Stan working with some key west coast talents – ... CD
One of the best later moments from the great Stan Getz – a set we might even place on the same level as his 60s work for Verve – and certainly at the same par as his records in the 70s for Columbia! Yet this set is quite different than that latter batch – as it has Getz really ... CD
An odd little album in the Stan Getz catalog of the 50s – not just because of the cheesy cover and title, but also because it features a range of unusual material recorded over a three year period with a variety of different players! Some of the dates here definitely fit the "cool ... CD
A beautiful bit of lost Getz from the 60s – a record of incredible depth that's somehow gotten lost in the shuffle of time! The album has Stan playing at Tanglewood with a core group that includes Gary Burton, Jim Hall, Steve Swallow, and Roy Haynes, plus musical backings by the Boston Pops ... CD
A late record by Stan Getz – one of his last – recorded with Herb Alpert and Eddie Del Barrio arranging – a record with a some surprisingly wonderful sax solos by Stan given the late date – and a surprisingly tight sound given the extended roster of players! The sound is ... CD
A classic set in the best Verve Records mode – as these two mature giants of the tenor sax get lots of room to open up and solo with a great rhythm section at the core! Both Hawkins and Webster have a fantastic sense of tone and timing – and the space of the record really lets you hear ... CD
Well, we don't know about the "roots of acid jazz" part – but this is definitely a great batch of jazzy tracks! This 16 track sampler runs for over 70 minutes long, and it contains some of the best of Cal's work for Verve – a mix of jazzy, Latin, and groovy tunes, all with ... CD
A tremendous little set from guitarist Howard Roberts – recorded in the years before his better-known records for Capitol, and done in a looser, more relaxed mode! The setting's a quartet with Pete Jolly on piano, Red Mitchell on bass, and Stan Levey on drums – plus some especially ... CD
