Used CD Grade
We only use the grade "Used CD" for non-new CDs.
This all-encompassing grade was chosen it because we only buy and offer
used CDs in the best possible condition.
When you purchase a used CD you can expect the disc to be free of all but the
lightest of surface marks, the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves),
and the booklet to be in good shape.
Used CDs may show some signs of use, but if there are significant details or
defects we will describe the item's condition (just like we do with LPs),
so look for notes on cutout marks, stickers, promo stamps or other details before ordering.
All of our used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws.
After you receive a used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine
that it plays correctly.
If it does not, you can request a return for a full refund.
Francis Hime is one of those Brazilian musicians who just seems to get better and better with age – never resting on his laurels, and never watering down his craft – and instead just focusing on what he does best, and finding a way to do it even better! This album is a simple, subtle, ... CD
One of the best recent albums we've heard from Brazilian music luminary Francis Hime – an album that's at once ambitious yet intimate, majestic yet personal. The tunes have a richness to them that's born by Hime's years of composition – sort of the depth that Jobim was hitting in the ... CD
One of the best records in years from Brazilian songwriter Francis Hime! Hime's singing and playing piano on the album – in a set of warm jazzy arrangements, produced with a rich style that brings out all the complexity in Hime's work. The feel here is similar to recent work by Moacir ... CD
An historic 35th Anniversary show from Maria Bethania – recorded wonderfully, with some really sensitive musical backdrops that perfectly follow the rich mood of the set! The presentation is very personal – as Maria's a bit reflective about her years in music – and the ... CD
Way more than just a sweet Brazilian singer running through the usual sophisticated modes of the Biscoito Fino label – and instead a deeply moving set that features odd rhythms, haunting vocals, and some great spare instrumentation from players who include Lelo Nazario on keyboards and Nana ... CD
A beautiful set in a beautiful setting – Bebel Gilberto in Rio, sounding even warmer and more soulful than ever before! The album's got a depth that goes beyond some of the simple bossa-rework of Gilberto's earliest record, and a maturity that even goes past recent work, too – a factor ... CD
The magic of Jobim lives once again – in this rare live recording from 1981! The performance is wonderfully intimate – and features Jobim on piano and vocals, with no other backing, plus passages in which he talks about his music with the audience, creating a really personal approach ... CD
A double-pack of albums from Maria Bethania – two recent sets together in a special box! First up is Tua – a record with a wonderfully laidback feel – almost jazzy at points, with small group backing on instrumentation that usually includes acoustic guitar, plus bits of piano, ... CD
A beautifully intimate set of vocal work – done in the best style of the Biscoito Fino label – with lots of organic instrumentation at the bottom, lovely vocals from Monica on the top – and a clear and clean recording style that presents the whole thing without any gimmicks or ... CD
A beautiful set of symphonic tracks based around the work of Antonio Carlos Jobim – work that stretches back to the 50s, up through 60s bossa nova, and even includes some of Jobim's more complicated orchestrations from the 70s! The music is done in the arch-baroque style of other titles on ... CD
A wonderful album – one that takes us back to the early 70s sound of Hermeto, Airto, and Flora Purim! Hermeto Pascoal arrranged and produced the record, and it's based around the jazzy vocals of Brazilian singer Aleuda, who reminds us a bit of Flora in her early days, but with a tone that's ... CD
