Used CD Grade
We only use the grade "Used CD" for non-new CDs.
This all-encompassing grade was chosen it because we only buy and offer
used CDs in the best possible condition.
When you purchase a used CD you can expect the disc to be free of all but the
lightest of surface marks, the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves),
and the booklet to be in good shape.
Used CDs may show some signs of use, but if there are significant details or
defects we will describe the item's condition (just like we do with LPs),
so look for notes on cutout marks, stickers, promo stamps or other details before ordering.
All of our used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws.
After you receive a used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine
that it plays correctly.
If it does not, you can request a return for a full refund.
A sweet little album from drummer Steve Gadd – one that will more than make you forgive the title's wordplay on his last name! Steve's drums give the record a nice sort of punch that's sometimes missing from 80s fusion of this nature – a rhythm approach that still has the spontaneous ... CD
Late work from this famous New Orleans clarinet player – recorded in Tokyo with Joshua Willis on trumpet, Louis Nelson on trombone, Joseph Robichaux on piano, and William Trout on a bit of vocals. CD
A lesser-known bit of funky fusion from David Matthews – a set that steps off his CTI/Kudu work of the 70s, with an update of that older jazz funk vibe! The group shows Matthews' continuing connection to the best players of this mode at the time – and features keyboards from Richard ... CD
A grand connection from David Matthews – one of the keyboardist's fusion sets for the Japanese Electric Bird label, who gave Matthews a great showcase for his electric grooves in the 80s! The sound here is kind of an extension of the funky electric big band sides that Matthews scored for ... CD
One of the best CTI albums from the early 70s – and one of Stanley Turrentine's funkiest records as well! The album's got a sharper edge than most other Turrentine albums of the time – a quality that goes beyond Stan's already soulful approach to the tenor, and which brings in some ... CD
Japanese fusion from the late 70s, but with some great American assist – given that the set was recorded in sunny Southern California, and features work from Larry Knechtel on piano, George Bohannon on trombone, and Ollie Mitchell on trumpet! Like some of the best albums of this type from ... CD
No bad anima here, as the album's a tight, warm set from guitarist Katsutoshi Morizono – arranged by the leader himself, and featuring a few tracks that also include vocals – which add this surprisingly human quality to an otherwise polished fusion album! Morizono's got a great lineup ... CD
Fast and funky fusion from David Matthews – building off the sound of his later Kudu recordings with a sweet electric groove! The album's got a pretty full approach overall – with Matthews on electric piano, and directing a large group of players that includes Mike Maineri, Michael ... CD
One of the few full albums ever issued under the name of trumpeter Fats Navarro – and like most of them, a posthumous collection of material cut before his untimely early death! The set's a memorial of sorts, and it compiles some important sides from the mid 40s, recorded for Savoy – ... CD
