If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially

cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
Used CD Grade
We have only one grade for non-new CDs at Dusty Groove — "Used CD".
This grade is somewhat all-encompassing, but we choose it because we try to offer
Used CDs in the best shape possible.
When you purchase a Used CD you can expect the disc to be free of all but the
lightest of surface marks, the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves),
and the booklet to be in good shape.
Used CDs may show some signs of use but if there are significant details or
defects we will list them underneath the item — just like we do with LPs —
so look there for notes on cutout marks, stickers, promo stamps or other details.
All of our Used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws.
If you purchase a Used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine
that it plays correctly —
and if it does not, then you may return it for a full refund.
Posthumous issue of an early 50s live set by Charlier Parker – one of the many that were rushed to the public in the years after his early death. The set, like many of the other live ones from the time, isn't recorded that well – but the music is still pretty wonderful. There's a real ... CD
Incredibly lovely live work from Bill Evans – material done at the Village Vanguard in the mid 70s, and easily one of his standout performance sessions from the time! There's a confidence here that doesn't show up in every Evans date of this nature – a focused, fluid groove that's ... CD
Another one of the great Griffin/Davis collaborations from the early 60's, and a tight bit of work with the added appearance of Junior Mance on piano. As you might expect from this cast of characters, the set's got a groove that straddles the hardbop and soul jazz camps, and Griffin and Davis prove ... CD
One of Art Blakey's best non-Blue Note albums of the 60s – a hard-wailing live set that fully exploits the best talents of the six-piece version of the Jazz Messengers! The group here is that tremendous sextet that featured Freddie Hubbard on trumpet, Curtis Fuller on trombone, Wayne Shorter ... CD
A well-titled collection of work from Bud Powell – one that brings together a host of different bop-tinged sides, all from different points in his career! The first half of the set features a vintage 1948 broadcast from the Royal Roost – featuring Powell's piano in a larger group that ... CD
70s work from Evans, caught not in his typical solo or trio setting, but in an all star quintet that recalls his excellent Interplay sides. Evans is joined by Harold Land, Kenny Burrell, Ray Brown and Philly Joe Jones who offset Evans' contemplative approach beautifully here. 5 numbers in all, ... CD
Two previously-unissued live sets from Gerry Mulligan – both quartet dates with the leader on baritone sax – and featuring Bob Brookmeyer on trombone, Bill Crow or Joe Benjamin on bass, and Donald Bailey or Gus Johnson on drums! CD
25 tracks from several dates in the early 50s featuring Miles Davis and Dizzy Gillespie on trumpet, Thelonious Monk, Al Haig, Hank Jones, and John Lewis on piano, Ray Brown on bass, Max Roach on drums, and others. CD
A very hip little session from a young Jan Hammer – recording here with a great lesser-known German saxophonist! The session's a live date from the late 60s – recorded at the legendary Domicile nightclub in Germany, in a rolling wave of soul jazz and hardbop modes – plus a few ... CD
