An excellent LP by one of the most underrecognized talents of 70's soul! DJ's deep soul voice is smooth and mellow, with the kind of honest heartbreaking quality that you find in the best work by Donny Hathaway and Stevie Wonder. This great LP's got DJ in a nice set of arrangements that have a ... LP, Vinyl record album
A classic live album – one of the first in soul music, and a beautiful set of smooth soul tunes from Sam Cooke! Sam's singing at the high-end nitespot The Copacabana – and like many live sets performed there, this one's tailored a bit to the classy crowd at the show – but that ... LP, Vinyl record album
Although Brass Ring head man Phil Bodner arranged and conducted this whole set, it's actually got a great funky soul instrumental sound, with some very nice tracks, and a good hard groove – even if it is played by a bunch of RCA studio musicians. The set's an hommage to Isaac Hayes, and the ... LP, Vinyl record album

Great stuff – and the kind of group that would be easy to overlook if the tracks weren't so good! The Brothers were clearly some sort of a studio project designed to cash in on the disco craze – and they included Bhen Lanzaroni on keyboards, who'd also recorded a bit on his own as a ... A stone classic – not just from Sam Cooke, but in the genre of "best of" records too! The set's overflowing with classic singles from the legendary soul singers – almost the perfect record to start with if you've ever wanted to sample Sam's genius – that amazing voice, ... LP, Vinyl record album
A masterpiece of harmony soul – one of THE all-time greats of the genre, and a lasting treasure from The Stylistics!
