Madron

LP (Item 10077) MGM, Early 70s — Condition: Near Mint-

(White label promo. Cover has a DJ sticker, light aging, and a trace of a price sticker.)

Near Mint - (minus)

  • Black vinyl that may show a slight amount of dust or dirt.
  • Should still be very shiny under a light, even with slight amount of dust on surface.
  • One or two small marks that would make an otherwise near perfect record slightly less so. These marks cannot be too deep, and should only be surface marks that won't affect play, but might detract from the looks.
  • May have some flaws and discoloration in the vinyl, but only those that would be intrinsic to the pressing. These should disappear when the record is tilted under the light, and will only show up when looking straight at the record. (Buddah and ABC pressings from the 70's are a good example of this.)
  • May have some slight marks from aging of the paper sleeve on the vinyl.
  • Possible minor surface noise when played.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Digitmovies (Italy), 1972. Sealed Gatefold
A great early 70s western score by Riz Ortolani! Una Ragione Per Vivere E Una Per Morire is crafted with a slightly different feel than usual for the time – almost more straight dramatic than the some of the seedier Italian western sounds of the period, with shimmering orchestral passages ... Biggest Bundle Of Them All
MGM, Mid 60s. Very Good+
The bulk of this one's handled by Riz – in a mixture of styles that runs from 60s groovy to fake Italian, in keeping with the mob comedy theme of the film. Mr Lucky Goes Latin
RCA, 1961. Very Good+
One of Henry Mancini's best soundtracks – made even better! The score for Mr. Lucky was a masterpiece of jazzy little themes – and it's always been one that we've loved way better than Peter Gunn or some of Mancini's other more famous work. Here, Mancini redoes that music with a west ... LP, Vinyl record album

World Of Suzie Wong
RCA, 1960. Near Mint-
A strange film, but a great soundtrack! George Duning came up with an excellent batch of jazzy tracks for the film – and most of them swing hard and tightly, with strong jazzy solos, in a manner that's similar to some of Mancini's best scores of the late 50s.
