Ivan ContiAzul (Max Graef rmx, Glenn Astro rmx, Contours rmx) ... 12-inch
Far Out (UK), 2017. New Copy ... $11.99
A trio of remixes – all of which take this jazzy Brazilian tune in a very different direction! First up is Max Graef, who's really deconstructed the track – and has the keyboards kind of shining in the skies, while the bassline gets all muddy and earthy! Glenn Astro lives up to his name, by bringing the keyboards up even more, and letting them bristle with a space age vibe – and Contours bring more of a cosmic, almost 4Hero sort of groove to the tune! 12-inch, Vinyl record

CotoneteInside Outside – First EP Series Vol 1 ... 12-inch
Heavenly Sweetness (France), 2017. New Copy ... $19.99
A jazzy instrumental with a very classic vibe – served up with some especially nice keyboard work from Florian Pellissier – who you might know from records issued under his own name! "Inside Outside" owes a fair bit to 70s funky jazz for inspiration – but it's also got a crackling sort of rhythm approach – played live, but maybe inherited a bit from the broken beat generation – which gives the music an urgently current vibe. Side one features the long core track of the tune – originally written by MPS legend Joanne Grauer – and side two features two Phil Asher/Restless Soul reworks. 12-inch, Vinyl record

Leroy Ace Miller/AceLoveAceTeacher (original Marina Sound version, alternate 90s version) ... 12-inch
Peoples Potential, 1985/Mid 90s. New Copy (reissue)... $9.99
A catchy little tune, with Leroy Miller's vocals cascading over some sweet beats and keyboards – all at a level that's maybe a bit more laidback and percolating than the usual 80s groove! Miller takes a second crack at the tune here in a 90s version – recorded under the Aceloveace name – but the vibe is nicely similar, and the whole thing maybe benefits from even better production on the vocals! 12-inch, Vinyl record
