CotoneteInside Outside – First EP Series Vol 1 ... 12-inch
Heavenly Sweetness (France), 2017. New Copy ... $8.99
A jazzy instrumental with a very classic vibe – served up with some especially nice keyboard work from Florian Pellissier – who you might know from records issued under his own name! "Inside Outside" owes a fair bit to 70s funky jazz for inspiration – but it's also got a crackling sort of rhythm approach – played live, but maybe inherited a bit from the broken beat generation – which gives the music an urgently current vibe. Side one features the long core track of the tune – originally written by MPS legend Joanne Grauer – and side two features two Phil Asher/Restless Soul reworks. 12-inch, Vinyl record

✨✧ Dr OctagonOctagon Octagon/Blue Flowers (Prince Paul's so beautiful rmx) (die cut picture disc) ... 12-inch
Get On Down, 1996/2018. New Copy ... $25.99 28.98
It's been more than 20 years, but the Doctor is in! "Octagon Octagon" is the first new track by the legendary trio of Kool Keith, DJ Qbert and producer Dan The Automator working together under the Octagon name in a couple decades, and it's a solid return to form. You know they have faith in the new track when they're pairing it with their own most classic track "Blue Flowers" – one of the most celebrated hip hop tracks of the late 1990s – as remixed by the great Prince Paul! 12-inch, Vinyl record
(Amazing die-cut picture disc, too – with the classic original design by Pushead!)

GU (Glenn Underground) & Sean HaleyI-94 (original, GU's Tech Not Dub) ... 12-inch
Noble Square, 2018. New Copy ... $9.99
Glenn Underground pairs up with with fellow top notch Chicago producer Sean Haley! I-94, if you're unfamilar with Chicago, is the main interstate artery through the city – if you wanted to name a quintessential Chicago club groover, you'd be hard pressed to find a more apt title than "I-94" – and this is a jam worthy of both GU's and SH's esteemed reputations. The original version has more swirling atmosphere. While GU's Tech Not Dub is a bit more stripped down. 12-inch, Vinyl record
