Brother ResistanceTonite Is De Night/Rapso Space Dub/Crucial Decision (92 version)/Nation Time ... 12-inch
Cree (Germany), Late 80s. New Copy ... $9.99 24.99
Great grooves from Brother Reistance – tracks that are aimed at the dancefloor, but which also have a strong social message too! "Tonite Is De Night" is a cool call to action, set to a rhythm with tight tropical touches – and "Crucial Decision" is presented here in the 1992 version, with skittish rhythms topped with a nice steel drum keyboard part! "Rapso Space Dub" is unreleased, and a nicely spooky sort of groove – and "Nation Time" is a great late take on the tropical disco mode! 12-inch, Vinyl record

Brian BriggsSelected Music From The Album Brain Damage ... 12-inch
Bearsville, 1980. Near Mint- (pic cover)... $9.99
A great lost record of minimalist club – a set that we'd rank right up there with classics by Arthur Russell, Liquid Liquid, or some of the other most creative talents on the New York scene at the start of the 80s! As with work by those other two artists, there's an experimental approach here, but one that's very very groovy – mostly just spare beats, loose instrumentation, and other sounds – woven together in ways that certainly have strong post-punk inspiration, but which can also work perfectly on a dancefloor too! This is the kind of work that would be equally at home in the clubs and in a punk club too – the crossover you'd experience at the legendary Danceteria – and titles include "AEO (parts 1 & 2)", "Psyclone", "Nervous Breakdown", and "Spy Vs Spy". 12-inch, Vinyl record
(Get On Down reissue, with obi. Cover has light wear.)

EnlightmentAgape Love (vocal, instrumental, remix) ... 12-inch
Nature Sounds, Late 80s. New Copy (reissue)... $11.99 13.98
A rare gospel track, but one with plenty of 80s soul touches – including catchy beats, sweet keyboards, and some really dynamic work on the vocals! The whole thing feels a lot more like some great lost club track than a gospel number – percolated throughout with sweet electro energy, which holds up strongly on both the instrumental and remix! 12-inch, Vinyl record

Gwen GuthrieIt Should Have Been You (voc, inst) ... 12-inch
Island, 1982. Near Mint- ... $19.99
A stunner from Gwen – one of her catchiest club tunes from the early years! "It Should Have Been You" bounces along on a tight bassline, with riffing guitar, and sweet washes of keys that really set the scene for the strong lead vocal. And if that's not enough, Larry Levan mixed – giving the Sly & Robbie production and even better sound! 12-inch, Vinyl record
(Promo in an Atlantic sleeve, with a peeled spot from sticker removal.)

George ClintonMan's Best Friend/Atomic Dog (atomic mix – long version) ... 12-inch
Capitol, 1982. Near Mint- ... $9.99
P-funk reigning strong again – as "Atomic Dog" was the song that proved that George Clinton could still funk it up for the 80s! This original 12" single features the 10 minute long version –with plenty of nice instrumental solos to keep up the groove. 12-inch, Vinyl record
(In a Capitol sleeve.)
