✨✧ AirAir (Embryo) ... LP
Embryo/Be With (UK), 1971. New Copy ... Temporarily Out Of Stock
Wonderfully tripped-out work from Air – a totally great little rockish band with a spare groovy feel – a mix of jazz, bits of folk rock, and some of the hipper sides of the singer/songwriter scene! Lead vocalist is Googie Coppola, who also plays piano, organ, and harpsichord – with a style that's not that dissimilar from Roberta Flack (who also seems to be an influence on her singing, too!) Tom Coppola's also in the group, and the work here is a wonderful precursor to the later more soulful efforts from the pair. Other backing includes more organ, piano, bass, and drums – and the style of the record is similar to other "folk funk experience" albums from the time, like work by Barbara & Ernie or Shades Of Joy. Titles include "Man Is Free", "In Our Time", "Martin", "Realize", "Mr Man", "Lipstick", and "Man's Got Style". LP, Vinyl record album

✨✧ Alessandro AlessandroniPanoramic Feeling + Le Film Trouve – A Panoramic Experience (clear vinyl pressing with bonus DVD) ... LP
Flipper/Dagored (Italy), 1971. New Copy LP & DVD ... Out Of Stock
A beautiful sound library gem from the legendary Alessandro Alessandroni – recorded for the commercial Flipper label, and issued publicly here for the first time ever! The music is sublime – that side of Alessandroni that came closest to the bossa and vocal styles of Ennio Morricone in the late 60s – with lots of breezy rhythms at the bottom, and a blend of instrumental passages, wordless chorus lines from I Cantori Moderni, and even some of that famous whistling from Alessandroni himself! We especially love the chorus bits – as they almost feel like The Swingle Singers trying to follow an Edda Dell'Orso sort of pathy – blended here with cool keyboards, including some totally wonderful electric harpsichord! Titles include "Young Flirt", "Green Hills", "North Wind", "Car Drive", "White Sands", and "Love Feeling". LP, Vinyl record album
(Includes the DVD "Le Film Trouve – A Panoramic Experience" – featuring footage from amateur films from around the world!)
