✨✧ ShindigIssue 149 ... Magazine
Shindig, 2024. New Copy ... Out Of Stock
That's the great Skip Spence on the cover – formerly of Moby Grape, creator of the classic Oar album, and given very big coverage here in a story that traces his development as a solo act! The issue also looks at the soulful duo Hedge & Donna, the cool prog group Andwella, and France's The Dogs – next to a cool set of 20 questions with the High Llama's Sean O'Hagan, a man who knows more about music than most! Plenty more too, all given the usual Shindig style – features on Mike Taylor, Gospelbeach, Daniel Romano, Danny Kirwan, and Barry Ryan – plus lots of reviews and other short spots too! Magazine

✨✧ We JazzIssue #2 – Pursuance – Fall 2021 ... Magazine
WeJazz (Finland), 2021. New Copy ... Out Of Stock
A fantastic second issue of this really great jazz publication – one that seems especially tuned to all the things we love and listen to here at Dusty Groove! But maybe don't think of We Jazz as a magazine, as it's more like a book – a square bound, super-heavy publication that's overflowing with top-shelf prose and some really well-chosen images – spread out here with coverage of jazz both classic and contemporary, always in the hipper side of the spectrum! The presentation is beautiful – almost like an art book at times – and the writing really matches the quality of the graphics – with articles on John Coltrane, Moserobie Records, Marshall Allen, Burton Greene, Alan Silva, Irreversible Entanglements, and Emma-Jean Thackray – plus loads of other great short bits too! ✨✧ Maggot BrainMaggot Brain – Issue #7 (December/January/February 2022) ... Magazine
Maggot Brain/Third Man, 2021. New Copy ... Out Of Stock
The great Maggot Brain keeps on growing and growing – really reaching mind-expanding territory this special seventh issue, at a level that goes far beyond the large features on Lou Reed and Loaded pictured on the cover! There's a wealth of different shorter features, mixed with artwork and other articles too – bits on Lee Scratch Perry, Pastor TL Barrett, Sister Rosetta Tharpe, Dane Wareham, The Goats, and the late 80s underground noise scene around Detroit – plus an especially strange feature on Doug Henning and his relationship to glam rock in Canada! As always, its less the topics than the way they're handled that makes the magazine so great – and Maggot Brain is definitely one of those publications that really rewards a cover-to-cover read – like the old classics Grand Royal, Wax Poetics, or even Motorbooty. ✨✧ Living BluesIssue 287 – Vol 54, No 6 ... Magazine
Living Blues, 2023. New Copy ... Out Of Stock
The Houston scene's gospel-bred singer Diunna Greenleaf gets the cover nod, for a feature that takes a deep dive into her 25 years in the blues – out front in an issue that has pieces on a bunch of strongly taletned blues heroes and heroines that deserve a print spotlight –including Clarksdale, Mississippi's Danva Johnson, Bay Area player Pat Wilder, the not-to-be forgotton story of Left Hand Charle, Chicago legend Bukka White and lots more! Loads of solid shorter blues news items, review and more, too. Magazine
