✨✧ FreeezIOU/I Dub U ... 12-inch
Streetwise, 1983. Near Mint- ... Just Sold Out!
One of Arthur Baker's shining moments – a poppy little tune, to be sure, but with a tight electro groove that's stood up a lot more than we would have thought at the time! Not strictly Hip Hop, but definitely an '80's breakin'/electro/dance classic (like the tracks on the Tommy Boy Perfect Beats compilations.) Anything from 1982 produced by Arthur Baker and mixed by Jellybean is bound to be dope and this one is no exception. With production and sung vocals similar to the Planet Patrol records from that time. Complete with an instrumental/dub version if you don't want the vocals. 12-inch, Vinyl record
(In a Streetwise sleeve.)

✨✧ Eartha KittWhere Is My Man (voc, inst) ... 12-inch
Streetwise, 1983. Very Good (pic cover)... Temporarily Out Of Stock
Either a comeback or a swan song for Eartha – as it was her first big single in years, and maybe her last ever – but whatever the case, the tune was a strong entry in the camp disco category – with a title and theme that would keep this one playing on dancefloors for years! 12-inch, Vinyl record
(Cover has wear and a sticker spot.)

✨✧ SpinnersLove Trippin ... LP
Atlantic, 1980. Very Good+ ... Out Of Stock
A sweetly grooving set from The Spinners – one that moves along nicely at the midtempo clip the "trippin" in the title might imply – thanks to production and arrangements from Michael Zager! Zager nicely puts aside some of his more disco-oriented modes here – keeping plenty of respect for the group's excellent vocals, and allowing them some really great space on a number of warmly-crafted tunes. John Edwards gets in some great lead vocals on the album – most famously on the record's medley of "Cupid/I've Loved You For A Long Time" – which went onto become a fairly big radio hit. Other tracks include "Streetwise", "I Just Want To Fall In Love", "Now That You're Mine Again", "Split Decision", "I'm Takin You Back", "Heavy On The Sunshine", and "Love Trippin". LP, Vinyl record album
(Cover has light wear.)

✨✧ Freddie Gibbs & MadlibPinata ... LP
Madlib Invazion, 2014. Sealed 2LP ... Out Of Stock
Streetwise raps from Freddie Gibbs, backed by inventive production from Madlib – here on one of the best records yet on 'Lib's own Madlib Invazion imprint! If you'll forgive us a little bit of repetition – because we KNOW we've written this before – there's just something extra riveting about Madlib's production work for straight shooting, street lingo slinging, no nonsense MCs. The freewheeling inspiration and bottomless depth of unpredictable sample funk is there, as always. It's leaner, tighter and with a thicker backdrop of beats. Gibbs is sharply on point throughout here, and if it seems like an oddball pairing at first glance, rest assured, these guys work GREAT together. Guests include Danny Brown – who drops some top shelf wordplay of his own on "High" – plus the Wu legend Raekwon on "Bomb", Domo Genius & Earl Sweatshirt on "Robes", Domo Genius, G-Whiz, Mac Miller and more on the title cut, and more. Other titles include "Supplier", "Scarface", "Deeper", "Harold's", "Thuggin'", "Real" and "Uno". LP, Vinyl record album
Also available Pinata ... LP 25.99
