✨✧ Neal HeftiSure Thing – The Art Of Arrangement ... CD
Ocium (Spain), Late 40s/Early 50s. Used ... Out Of Stock
A pretty darn comprehensive CD of early work by genius arranger Neal Hefti – pulled from sides he originally recorded for the Savoy, Clef, Allegro, and Coral labels! The bulk of the work on the CD is from Neal's Coral years in the early 50s – and these sides have not been reissued often, making the CD a real treat if you dig Hefti's nice touch with a swinging groove. Other sides are from singles – one under the Lem Davis Sextet for Savoy, one under Georgie Auld for Musicraft, and one with Charlie Parker for Clef – and titles include "Charmaine", "Waltzing On A Cloud", "Lake Placid", "Why Not", "Ruby", "Lucky Duck", "Coral Reef", "Repetition", and "Handicap". CD
(CD also features a bonus multimedia track to play on any Windows system – with information on the artist and other notes! Out of print.)
