✨✧ PrinceLet's Go Crazy (special dance mix)/Erotic City ... 12-inch
Warner, 1984. Very Good+ (pic cover)... $11.99
One of the most romping tunes ever recorded by Prince – the kind of cut that was an instant dancefloor stormer back in the day, and still sounds mighty groovy all these many years later! The song is featured here in it's very extended version – and is backed by the fantastic non-LP cut "Erotic City" – a masterpice of slinky funk! The track grooves for over 7 minutes – and if you were to ask us the one Prince tune we remember most fondly from the 80s dancefloor, this would be it! 12-inch, Vinyl record
(Cover has light wear.)

✨✧ David BowieLet's Dance (long)/Cat People (Putting Out Fire) ... 12-inch
EMI, 1983. Very Good+ (pic cover)... Out Of Stock
A great little comeback moment from David Bowie – with a great cut from a soundtrack on the flip! "Let's Dance" really got Bowie back on top in the early 80s – thanks to some production help from Nile Rogers, who made the tune groove perfectly for the dancefloors. But we're even more partial to "Cat People" – a great little tune from the remake of that film form the early 80s – a dark number that swells nicely on the chorus! 12-inch, Vinyl record
(Cover has some surface wear and a small split on the spine.)

✨✧ Lizzy Mercier DesclouxFire/Mission Impossible ... 12-inch
Ze, 1979. Near Mint- ... Out Of Stock
A seminal Ze Records groover from Lizzy Mercier Descloux – a bit disco, a bit post-punk, with some nice European touches! "Fire" is a chanted little track that merges new wave and disco – remaking the Arthur Brown classic in a style that's completely unlike the original, and which features some great spoken bits from Lizzy! "Mission Impossible" is even better – a totally great remake of the Lalo Schifrin theme song, done with acoustic percussion and horns on the best – building the tune up in an almost tribal approach to the groove before the dancefloor beats snap in! There's a snaking sax bit that's really great – giving a moody, almost ethnographic feel to the instrumental tune! 12-inch, Vinyl record

✨✧ ABCLook Of Love (USA rmx – dub version, pt 3 – dance version) ... 12-inch
Mercury, 1982. Very Good ... $2.99
Sure it was a hit, but it's also a great track too – complete with lots of production twists and turns from Trevor Horn, as well as impeccable string arrangements from Anne Dudley! USA remix is actually a "dub version" – one that really cuts the song up a lot, and almost sounds more like Art Of Noise than ABC! 12-inch, Vinyl record

✨✧ Rolling StonesMiss You/Far Away Eyes ... 12-inch
Rolling Stones, 1978. Very Good+ (pic cover)... Out Of Stock
A club crossover classic from The Rolling Stones – a track that surprisingly got the group onto the dancefloor in the late 70s, but which still held onto most of their best elements! Although sometimes panned as a cheap disco cash-in effort by some, the tune is actually pretty darn great – a gritty little tune that relies on heavy vamping, rolled-out guitar parts, and one of the catchiest vocal hooks that Mick Jagger had sung in years. Harmonica completes the sound, and the whole thing's got a bluesy undercurrent that's totally great! 12-inch, Vinyl record
(Cover has a stained upper right corner and light ring wear.)

✨✧ Brass Construction/BanbarraMovin/Shack Up ... 12-inch
Soul Brother/Expansion (UK), 1975. Near Mint- ... Out Of Stock
2 excellent bits of rare funk – back to back! "Movin" is the more popular number here – a horn-heavy dancefloor jammer from Brass Construction, with great interplay between horns, moog, and keyboards, stretching out for a full 8 minute track! "Shack Up" is even better – and begins with scratchy guitars, vamping basslines, and a monster groove that will never let you down. The cut's one of the oddest funk classics ever, was never issued on an album, and will keep you jamming all night long! 12-inch, Vinyl record

✨✧ McFadden & WhiteheadAin't No Stoppin Us Now/I Got The Love ... 12-inch
Philadelphia International, 1979. Near Mint- ... Out Of Stock
One of the greatest moments of late Philly – and a dancefloor stormer that never lets us down! The cut's served up here in a stunning 10 minute version – with grooves that go on and on and on, driving the anthemic message of the cut over the top. "I Got The Love" isn't nearly as great – but who cares, with such a great a-side! 12-inch, Vinyl record

✨✧ FreeezIOU/I Dub U ... 12-inch
Streetwise, 1983. Near Mint- ... Temporarily Out Of Stock
One of Arthur Baker's shining moments – a poppy little tune, to be sure, but with a tight electro groove that's stood up a lot more than we would have thought at the time! Not strictly Hip Hop, but definitely an '80's breakin'/electro/dance classic (like the tracks on the Tommy Boy Perfect Beats compilations.) Anything from 1982 produced by Arthur Baker and mixed by Jellybean is bound to be dope and this one is no exception. With production and sung vocals similar to the Planet Patrol records from that time. Complete with an instrumental/dub version if you don't want the vocals. 12-inch, Vinyl record
(In a Streetwise sleeve.)
