A slightly different setting than usual for the Great Jazz Trio – in that about half of this record features a violin added to the trio lineup, bringing a slight "with strings" quality to a few of the mellower tunes and ballads! The trio here features Hank Jones on piano at the helm, along with bass by Eddie Gomez and drums from Jimmy
Cobb – both subtle accompanists who really get into the spirit of the session, which is mostly comprised of Gershwin tunes, plus 2 more from Rogers
& Hart. Violin is by Lewis Eley, and titles include "Isn't It Romantic", "S'Wonderful", "Our Love Is Here To Stay", "I've Got A Crush On You", "Manhattan", and "Someone To Watch Over Me".
