T Neck/CBS, 1976. Very Good ... $4.99
A very cool record – one done as part of a promo-only series from Columbia/Epic – with cover art that replicated the then-popular book titled Everything You Ever Wanted To Know About Sex But Were Afraid To Ask! 8 numbers from their mid 70s prime: "That Lady", "What It Comes Down To", "Summer Breeze", "Live It Up", "Midnight Sky", "Need A Little Taste Of Love", "Fight The Power" and "Hope You Feel Better Love". LP, Vinyl record album
(White label promo. Cover has light wear and mostly split bottom seam.)

Isley BrothersLet's Go! ... LP
Stateside (UK), Early 60s. Near Mint- ... $2.99
Early early work by The Isley Brothers – recorded for United Artists in the early and mid 60s, in the years between their hit work for RCA and Motown. The material here leans heavily on the "Twist & Shout" sound of the RCA years – taking elements of R&B group styles, and forging them into a tighter 60s soul approach – one that got a bit more sophisticated as the years went on, but which was still very much in the party soul mode in which the boys first made their mark. There's a total of 16 tracks in all – nicely packaged with good notes – and titles include "What'cha Gonna Do", "Surf & Shout", "Please Please Please", "She's The One", "Shake It With Me Baby", "Who's That Lady", "My Little Girl", "Love Is A Wonderful Thing", "Open Up Her Eyes", and "She's Gone". LP, Vinyl record album
(Great UK pressing! Cover has very light wear near the top, but is great overall.)

VariousMotown Disco Classics Vol 2 ... LP
Tamla/Motown (UK), 1960s. Near Mint- ... $19.99
Not a disco collection, but a batch of classic Motown tracks from the 60s – presented in a way that feels as if a DJ is spinning them back to back in a club, with almost no space between the tunes! 16 titles in all, with work by Marvin Gaye, Earl Van Dyke, The Velvelettes, Four Tops, Jr Walker, Isley Brothers, Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell, and Edwin Starr! LP, Vinyl record album
(In a very cool die-cut cover, with insert! A great copy.)

Trojan (UK), 1969. Very Good+ ... Just Sold Out!
Hard-wailing classics from a key year in the Trojan Records catalog – 1969, a time when the British company was really building a bridge to bring the music of Jamaica over to the London scene – where it would have an undeniable impact for years to come! This set features a great mix of Trojan hits and underground bubblers from the time – early reggae mixed with rocksteady and other modes – in a set of titles that include "I've Tried Before" by The Impersonators, "Israel" by The Sparkers, "My Devotion" by Tony King & The Hippy Boys, "Sexy Woman" by Hopeton Lewis & The Sexy Girls, "Shangul" by Tommy McCook & The Supersonics, "Sock It To Me" by The Gaylads, "You Promised Me Love" by Bob Andy, "Long About Now" by Lloyd Charmers & The Hippy Boys, "You Belong To My Heart" by The Demons, "You Can't Stop Me" by The Emotions, and a cover of the Isley Brothers classic "It's Your Thing" by Anonymously Yours – possibly an unknown group! ✨✧ Average White BandAverage White Band ... LP
Atlantic, 1974. Very Good ... Temporarily Out Of Stock
AWB's first for Atlantic – and a nice slice of funk that proves that they can mix it up with the best groups of the 70s! The record's got plenty of sweet electric keyboards over smooth funky basslines – and as the years go by, the band's white boy vocals don't sound nearly as bad as we remember them. And besides, when they play their instruments so nicely – how can you hold the singing against them? Includes the killer classic "Pick Up The Pieces", sampled more times than we can remember – plus "You Got It", "Just Wanna Love You Tonight", "Person To Person", and a nice remake of the Isley Brothers' "Work To Do". LP, Vinyl record album
(Includes the printed inner sleeve.)
