✨✧ VariousClosed Sessions Vol 1 (10th Anniversary colored vinyl pressing – with download) ... LP
Closed Sessions, Late 2000s. New Copy ... Out Of Stock
A really great and still fresh-sounding snapshot of the some the leading lights of the Chicago and Chicago-connected independent hip hop scene of the immediate post-millennium – with Curren$y, Rhymefest, BJ The Chicago Kid, Amanda Diva, Bun B, Kidz In The Hall and more! The sessions were recorded mostly in 2009 at SoundScape Studios with a diverse roster of talent and producers, but a consistent sense of purpose and high level of quality that more than stands the test of time. On vinyl here, finally, for the first time ever the titles include "Rapper Weed" with Curren$y, "Posted" with Tanya Morgan, "Helluva Year" with Emilio Rojas, Scheme & Astonish, "Dutch Dalton" with Truck North & Rapper Big Pooh, "I Can See" with Amanda Diva, "Crack The Code" with Skyzoo & Rhymefest, "Happiness Before Riches" with Bun B, GLC & BJ The Chicago Kid, "So Cold" with Curt@ins, Hollywood Holt & U-N-I and more. LP, Vinyl record album
(First ever vinyl release – and remastered properly for the format! On mustard colored vinyl with download.)

✨✧ Freddy KingMojo – King Rarities & Obscurities (colored vinyl pressing) (2019 Black Friday Release) ... LP
King/Modern Harmonic, Early 60s. New Copy ... Out Of Stock
Rare early work from guitar genius Freddy King – all recorded during that time he was cutting some wickedly soulful work for King Records – but all tracks that were never issued at the time! The package features Freddy in a few different sessions – on guitar and vocals on all of them – working with a shifting lineup of players, but with piano from Sonny Thompson on most of the tracks, and plenty of tenor from the great Clifford Scott! Titles include "Wash Out", "Closed Door", "Heads Up", "Just Pickin", "See See Baby", "Butterscotch", and "Play It Cool" – plus three "Untitled Instrumental" tracks from obscure sessions in 1968! (Colored vinyl pressed at RTI!)
