✨✧ Bob DylanAnother Side of Bob Dylan ... LP
Columbia, 1964. Very Good+ ... $14.99
Bob's fourth record, and close runner up to Freewheelin' as the masterpiece of this early stage of his career. While the overly arch Times They Are A Changin' pretty much stood as the cornerstone of classifiable folk rock at the time, Another Side is just that. Dense, elliptical, and downright surreal at times, with some of the protesty stuff that made the media so happy & hungry, but much more layered and poetic. Another side is also much more reverent of and indebted to the Harry Smith field recordings that Bob studied so hard, the stuff that finally caught on with the general public in the early 90s. Titles include "Spanish Harlem Incident", "It Ain't Me Babe", "Ballad In Plain D", "Black Crow Blues", "I Don't Believe You", "Motorpsycho Nitemare", "To Ramona", "Chimes Of Freedom", "My Back Pages", and "I Shall Be Free No 10". LP, Vinyl record album
(70s pressing. Cover has light staining along the opening, light wear, and a shop sticker.)

✨✧ Bob DylanBlonde On Blonde ... LP
Columbia, 1966. Very Good 2LP Gatefold ... $99.99
One of the most incredible rock albums of all time – Dylan's sprawling, shambling, poetic genius at it's most revolutionary if you ask us – the landmark Blonde On Blonde! It's got that surrealistic, 4AM and still bursting with creativity kind of feeling that he'd never even try to find again and it's filled with tracks that he comes back to live late in life perhaps more than any other single album. As great as rock music would ever get, this record. Includes "Rainy Day Women # 12 & 35", "Visions Of Johanna", "Pledging My Time", "Stuck Inside Of Mobile With The Memphis Blues Again", "Leopard-Skin Pill Box Hat", "Just Like A Woman" and more. This Sundazed edition on 180 gram vinyl is the first ever reissue of the vinyl in the original mono. LP, Vinyl record album
(Mono 360 Sound label pressing, with promo stickers, in the Claudia cover! Vinyl has some sleeve marks, with a mark that clicks a bit on "I Want You". Cover has some ring & edge wear, a bit heavy at the middle of the spine.)

✨✧ Bob DylanTimes They Are A-Changin' ... LP
Columbia, 1964. Very Good ... $39.99
Some of the darkest acoustic work that Dylan ever recorded – and filled with beautiful songs like "With God On Our Side", "North Country Blues", "Only A Pawn In Their Game", "The Lonesome Death Of Hattie Carroll", "Boots Of Spanish Leather", and "The Times They Are A-Changin". A real masterpiece from just before he started shaking off everyone's expectations. LP, Vinyl record album

Bob DylanTroubled Troubadour Vol 2 ... LP
Early 60s. Very Good+ ... $29.99
A mysterious record, with no cover art, no label, and just a hand-written title – but a set that features one side of great Dylan work with just vocals and guitar – very rough, and nicely bluesy! The second side has material that's more in a Basement Tapes mode, but might be later too. LP, Vinyl record album

Bob Dylan/The BandBasement Tapes ... LP
Columbia, Late 60s/1975. Sealed 2LP Gatefold ... $99.99
Dylan & The Band's legendary Basement Tapes – those amazing late 60s Woodstock recordings – and an album that was a classic long before it was officially released in the mid 70s! Bootleg after bootleg of some these recordings might have sold enough copies on the grey market in the early 70s to go platinum back in the day, so there's little wonder that Columbia would finally get some kind of official release out there – and it lives up to the legend! Dylan's conversational, seemingly spontaneous lyricism stretches over a good portion of it, with some much more soulful numbers, too – and those are all the more effective with The Band's incredible instrumentation, backing and occasional lead vocals. Includes "Odds And Ends", "Million Dollar Bash", "Tears Of Rage", "Tiny Montgomery", "Nothing Was Delivered", "Too Much Of Nothing", "Clothes Line Saga", "You Ain't Goin Nowhere", "Open The Door, Homer", "This Wheel's On Fire, "Crash On the Levee (Down In The Flood)", "Long Distance Operator". LP, Vinyl record album
(Original 70s pressing, still sealed with hype sticker. Shrinkwrap has a small hole in front from sticker removal, nice and clean otherwise.)

Dylan's wonderful foray into country rock – the great Nashville Skyline! He takes his voice into a strangely crooning arena that we hadn't heard from him before or since, kinda adding a mysterious vibe of the whole thing. Titles include a duet with Johnny Cash on "Girl From The North Country", plus "Lay Lady Lay", "Country Pie", "To Be Alone With You", and "One More Night". LP, Vinyl record album

✨✧ Bob DylanReal Royal Albert Hall 1966 Concert ... LP
Legacy, 1966. Sealed 2LP Gatefold ... Temporarily Out Of Stock
The legendary and for the first time legitimate release of the 1966 Royal Albert Hall performance by Bob Dylan and (most of) The Band! For decades, the bootleg "Royal Albert Hall" performance, infamous for the cagey audience reaction to the newly electrified Dylan ("Judas!") did the rounds before seeing official release in the late 90s – but that concert was actually recorded at Manchester Free Trade Hall on May 17 of '66, when the actual Royal Albert Hall concert is THIS one, recorded on May 29. Same city, same dual and separate acoustic and electric setlists but equally compelling performance, in a different room – and honestly, it's great to listen and get a snapshot of a vitally evolving artist, sans the heavy historical baggage attached to the preceding set's legacy! Includes "She Belongs To Me", "Desolation Row", "Visions Of Johanna", "Just Like A Woman", "Tell Me, Momma:, "Baby Let Me Follow You Down", "One Too Many Mornings", "Like A Rolling Stone" and more. ✨✧ Bob DylanSlow Train Coming ... LP
Columbia, 1979. Very Good ... Out Of Stock
The first album in Dylan's so-called "Christian Period", but it's not really the uber-dramatic departure from the "old" Dylan that it was treated as at the time – gospel soul backing vocals and testifying lyricism for sure, but it sounds more like gospel has come to Dylan than it sounds like Dylan has "gone gospel". Slow Train Coming has a focused approach, ala Blood On The Tracks, even if this train doesn't come close to crossing over onto those particular tracks – and the return to a leaner, more focused vibe is welcome one. It's got stellar studio players in the mix, and producer Jerry Wexler's production touches on a soul sound, but smartly hews to Dylan's vocal style and lyrical focus. Dylan's high bar for a masterpiece given his trailblazing past didn't give this record or the following couple much a chance to succeed on their own merits back in the day, but all these years later...wow, this is really good, passionate stuff. Includes "Gotta Serve Somebody", "Precious Angel", "I Believe In You", "Slow Trait", "Gonna Change My Way Of Thinking", "Do Right To Me Baby (Do Unto Others)", "When You Gonna Wake Up", "Man Gave Name To All The Animals", "When He Returns". LP, Vinyl record album
(Includes the printed inner sleeve. Cover has unglued seams with spots of clear tape. Back cover has a promo stamp.)

✨✧ BandBand ... LP
Capitol, 1969. Very Good Gatefold ... $19.99
Maybe not the first album from the legendary Band – but a record in which the group get everything completely right all the way through – and sparkle with that special sound that continues to influence generations of music makers, and music lovers! All the great elements the group were bringing to their work with Bob Dylan are in place here – but the focus is completely different, with this warm glow that really fits the vocals of Levon Helm, and a sense of unified vision that makes it really hard to even come up with a match for the energy of the group on this album. The great John Simon adds a few special touches to the overall sound – and titles include "Rockin Chair", "Across The Great Divide", "When You Awake", "Up On Cripple Creek", "The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down", "Look Out Cleveland", and "King Harvest". LP, Vinyl record album
(70s red label pressing.)

Johnny CashOrange Blossom Special ... LP
Columbia, 1965. Very Good+ ... $24.99
One of the greatest mid 60s Columbia albums by Cash! Orange Blossom Special is probably the most successful of Johnny's LPs in which he balances the profound influence of Bob Dylan with his own rough hewn style for something wholly unique. Cash covers 3 of Dylan's tunes on Orange Blossom, "It Ain't Me Babe", "Mama, You've Been On My Mind", and "Don't Think Twice, It's Alright". Other tracks include "You Wild Colorado", "When It's Springtime In Alaska", "Amen", and "Danny Boy". LP, Vinyl record album

Tim RoseTim Rose ... LP
Columbia, Late 60s. Very Good+ ... $19.99
A fantastic solo debut from Tim Rose – issued by Columbia Records at a time when the label was taking a strong stand with singer/songwriting giants like Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen! Rose might not be totally in the territory of those legends, but steps out from previous folk work (including a group with Mama Cass and Jake Holmes!), into a mode that's trying to carve out a more thoughtful space for a male singer in the late 60s. Rose has a full voice that's clearly influenced by soul, yet has this raspy, almost boozy charm around the edges – almost crackling at times, which only adds to the spirit of the songs – which get great small group accompaniment from a studio combo that features Bernard Purdie on drums and Artie Butler on piano. Titles include "Where Was I", "You're Slipping Away From Me", "Got A Loneliness", "I'm Gonna Be Strong", "I Gotta Do Things My Way", and a version of "Hey Joe". LP, Vinyl record album
(Mono 2 eye pressing. Cover has light wear.)

Siouxsie & The BansheesThrough The Looking Glass ... LP
Geffen, 1987. Near Mint- ... $24.99
Siouxie & The Banshees pick up songs from a well-chosen array of other artists – including Roxy Music, Iggy Pop, Bob Dylan, Television, and Billie Holiday – almost moving into that reworking-of-classics style that This Mortal Coil was using at the time – even though Siouxie's earlier work was probably a huge inspiration on that group and most of the 4AD acts to emerge during the 80s! The vibe here is similar to Tinderbox – surprisingly catchy at times, yet still with that balanced sense of drama that Siouxie could bring to her music – on tunes that include their hit remake of "The Passenger", plus "This Wheel's On Fire", "Strange Fruit", "Sea Breezes", "Little Johnny Jewel", "Hall Of Mirrors", and "Trust In Me". LP, Vinyl record album
(Includes the printed inner sleeve. NOTE – Cover has some stuck-on paper at the bottom on front.)

Sir Douglas QuintetMendocino ... LP
Smash, 1969. Very Good+ ... $39.99
One of the very best rock albums of the late 60s from overlooked genius Doug Sahm and his Sir Douglas Quartet – a brilliant hybrid of the laconic country and rural rock ragged glory that was piping through so many under appreciated groups at the time (and went on to be bastardized by crap factories like The Eagles) and classical Spanish and Mexican folk guitar playing. Sahm plays fiddle, guitar, pedal steel and just about anything with strings, along with the amazing Augie Meyers (who you may remember from the beautiful organ work he contributed to Bob Dylan's late masterpieces Time Out Of Mind and Love And Theft) and others. Beautiful stuff! Includes "Mendocino", "I Don't Want", "I Wanna Be Your Mama Again", "At The Crossroads", "Lawd, I'm Just A Country Boy In This Great Big Freaky City", "She's About A Mover" and more. LP, Vinyl record album

Dino ValenteDino Valente ... LP
Epic, 1968. Very Good ... $39.99
The one-and-only album by San Francisco singer-songwriter Dino Valente – an enigmatic cat best known for penning the hippie anthem "Get Together" – and a much deeper and more adventurous writer then you'd know from that one ubiquitous song! Dino bridged the coffee shop folk scene with sprawling psychedelia on this album. He has the Tim Buckley kind of stream-of-conciousness restlessness, and the record's full of lovely acoustic guitar accompanied by unlikely horn and flute flourishes. Dino was hardly a conventional singer – so the production hand of Bob Dylan knob twirler Bob Johnston couldn't be a better fit. Tracks include "Time", "Something New", "My Friend", "Listen To Me", "Me And My Uncle", "Children Of The Sun", "New Wind Blowing", and "Everything Is Going To Be OK". LP, Vinyl record album
