✨✧ HawkwindDoremi Fasol Latido (2CD edition – with bonus tracks) ... CD
United Artists/Atomhenge (UK), 1972. New Copy 2CD ... $18.99 23.99
The third album from Hawkwind, and one in which it seems like the group are really beginning to find their groove – maybe in part because Lemmy's in the lineup here, giving them some rudimentary bass parts that seem to push the boundaries even more – while all the spacey sounds and cool production elements of the previous two records seem to get even turned up more in the mix as well! This is definitely space rock of the finest pedigree – a group who are able to use electronics and moogy elements in all the right ways, while still also serving up a guitar-driven sound that's perfectly in a space between prog and hard rock – yet very different than most of the mainstream in both! Titles include "Time We Left This World Today", "The Watcher", "Brainstorm", "Space Is Deep", "Lord Of Light", and "Down Through The Night". 2CD edition features bonus tracks "Born To Go (live single)", "Lord Of Light (German single)", "Brainbox Pollution", "Take What You Can", "Seven By Seven (October 72 remake)", and "Urban Guerilla" – plus a new remastering of the album, and a new stereo mix of the album by Stephen W Taylor. HawkwindIn Search Of Space (2CD/DVD set) ... CD
United Artists/Atomhenge (UK), 1972. New Copy 2CD ... $69.99 74.99
A mindblowing album, and a record that was an instant classic from the moment it was released – and then has gone on to become even more legendary over the years! The set virtually invented the genre of space rock – but has also touched on the worlds of prog, Krautrock, and even hard rock and metal with everything that's going on inside – lots of tracks that definitely live up to the space promise of the title, but which also find a way to jam as well – mixing heady guitar lines with cool electronics and effects – and even a bit of alto and flute from the group's great Nik Turner! The whole thing's fantastic – essential listening throughout – and titles include "Adjust Me", "Children Of The Sun", "Master Of The Universe", "We Took The Wrong Step Years Ago", "You Know You're Only Dreaming", and the 15 minute classic "You Shouldn't Do That". This expanded package is overflowing with greatness – and features the album in both a remaster of the original stereo mix, and a new stereo mix by Stephen W Tayler – with bonus tracks that include "Hog Farm", "Kiss Of The Velvet Whip", "Seven By Seven", and "Silver Machine" – presented in both mixes too. There's also a DVD with 96 khz/24-bit 5.1 Surround & Stereo mixes by Tayler, and the original stereo mix – plus a 1972 Silver Machine promotional film too! CD

✨✧ HawkwindSpace Ritual – Alive In Liverpool & London (50th anniversary mix) ... CD
United Artists/Atomhenge (UK), 1973. New Copy 2CDs ... Temporarily Out Of Stock
A seminal set from Hawkwind – a record that virtually defines the term "space rock", and which went on to create a whole genre unto itself! The live setting is perfect for the group – as they open up on long tracks that blend together odd touches, sci fi elements, and some mighty heavy rock lines too – all with some trippy vocals that really send things over the top! Lemmy's a mad genius at this point – and the record's got a ballsy power that's quite different from more prog-based groups who travel down similar paths, but never with ferocity like this. Titles include "Earth Calling", "Born To Go", "Down Through The Night", "The Awakening", "Upside Down", "10 Seconds Of Forever", "Brainstorm", "Seven By Seven", "Sonic Attack", Welcome To The Future", "You Shouldn't Do That", "Time We Left This World Today", and "Master Of The Universe". CD
(2CD set, issued on the band's own label – with a new 50th Anniversary mix!)
