✨✧ Andrzej KorzynskiBestia ... CD
GAD (Poland), 1978. New Copy ... Out Of Stock
A lost 70s soundtrack from the great Andrzej Korzynski – one that's not nearly as spooky as you might guess from the cover and title – although we can say that it's certainly got some of the keyboard-heavy horror scoring modes that were beginning to crop up on the American and Italian scenes at the time! Yet Korzynski uses his keys with energy that's a bit more thoughtful and contemplative – often these slow-building passages that are really beautiful, but in a dark sort of way – and which resonate with an inherent warmth that's a nice change from some of the colder keyboard scores of the period. The instrumentation also has key flute and guitar solos – and the CD features 25 tracks in all, and is the first-ever release of the music! CD

✨✧ Andrzej KorzynskiSekrety Pana Kleska – 1983 to 1988 Lost & Found Film Music ... CD
GAD (Poland), Mid 1980s. New Copy 2CD ... Out Of Stock
Music that's a definite "sekrety" to most of us western listeners – as the set brings together some rare and overlooked soundtrack material from the great Polish composer Andrezj Korzynski – served up here in a range of modes that really show him going strong well into the 80s! A number of tracks showcase that great ear for odd, offbeat sounds that has made Korzynski such a key rediscovery in recent years – served up both on electric instrumentation with nice variations in styles and techniques, but also with some larger orchestrations that are pretty darn great too. As with other Gad label titles, the presentation here is wonderful – and the 2CD package features 54 tracks in all – titles from the projects Akademia Pana Kleksa, Pan Kleks W Kosmosie, and Podroze Pana Kleksa – plus bonus material too! ✨✧ Andrzej KorzynskiW Pustyni I W Puszczy (In Desert & Wilderness) ... CD
GAD (Poland), 1973. New Copy ... Out Of Stock
Some of the coolest work we've ever heard from Polish film composer Andrezj Korzynski – material from an important movie from the early 70s, presented here in two different sections of the soundtrack, which were each made for different chapters of the film! The style is wonderfully hard to peg – a mix of orchestrations, Fender Rhodes, stepping basslines, and these light lyrical passages – often wrapped together, but in ways that are quite unconventional – as exotic currents mix with dramatic ones, but often with a slightly offbeat vibe, as you'd find in the music of Francois De Roubaix! And while not entirely like De Roubaix's material of the time, the approach here is similarly unique – very aware of funky elements, yet not overly dressed in them – and instead just used lightly to augment larger musical passages in this really cool way. Book features notes in English and Polish – and titles include "Oaza/Hamis", "Porwanie", "Chora Nel", "Nowa Oboz", "Stasiu Slon", "Pozar", "Smain", "Fatima", "Skorpion", and "Bitwa". CD

✨✧ Marek Wilczynski/Andrzej KorzynskiBolek I Lolek Na Dzikim Zachodzie (with bonus tracks) ... CD
GAD (Poland), 1986. New Copy ... Out Of Stock
An 80s animated feature from Poland, and one that gets some very cool electronic sounds here – a mix of playful numbers and more eerie tracks that work together perfectly – sometimes with more of a song-based approach, other times a lot more open and abstract! There's a bit of vocals on the set, and noted composer Andrzej Korzynski helps out with a few of the songs on the record – but much of the music is spare, and uses these cool 80s keyboards that often have bends and twists and the lines, manipulated like some older 70s moogy sort of instrument! CD features a whopping 30 tracks in all – including bonus material not on the original soundtrack. CD

✨✧ Andrzej KorzynskiAkademia Pana Kleksa ... CD
GAD (Poland), 1983. New Copy ... Out Of Stock
A weird and wonderful lost soundtrack from Polish composer Andrzej Korzynski – done for a movie that was essentially a children's story, but with a great array of unusual sounds and very cool 80s keyboards! The music is very much in par with some of Korzynski's other classics – and maybe has an even more eerie sort of vibe, given the mix of sweetness and dark that comes across – as some themes feel a bit redemptive, but others have a very moody sort of approach! The whole thing almost reminds us of an 80s variation of the same territory as the Peau D'Ane soundtrack by Michel Legrand – and the music also features some straighter electric piano, guitar, and orchestrations alongside a Yamaha keyboard. Titles include "Laser Golaraza", "Wilki Zdobywaja Zamek", "Inwazja Wilkolakow", "Zaklad Golarza Filipa", "Lustro", and "Leckcja Pryzrody". First time on CD – with bonus tracks, and some detailed notes on the unusual production of the film! CD
