✨✧ Serge GainsbourgLe Cinema De Serge Gainsbourg (180 gram pressing) ... LP
Universal (France), Late 50s/1960s. New Copy ... Temporarily Out Of Stock
The coolest collection we've ever seen to focus on the soundtrack work of the great Serge Gainsbourg – and the most complete as well! The package really digs deep – and seems to offer up tracks from just about every single film that Gainsbourg was involved with – from his own compositions, to partnerships with greats like Alain Goraguer, Michel Colombier, and the mighty Jean-Claude Vannier – all of whom come up with very groovy, often funky instrumentation that rivals Serge's own releases! In fact, we might well even say that we find the Gainsbourg soundtrack material to be even cooler – as the films often gave Serge a chance to experiment, and try out new ideas he wouldn't do on his own records. This LP package is a great distillation of the larger CD set, with a focus on the grooviest cuts – and includes selections from the films L'Eau A La Bouche, Manon 70, Anna, Si Jetais Un Espion, Le Pacha, Slogan, Une Vueve En Or, and Les Chemins De Katmandou. ✨✧ VariousTV Land – Crime Stoppers Greatest PI Themes ... CD
Rhino, 1960s/1970s. Used ... Out Of Stock
The second volume in Rhino's groovy set of TV cop show theme songs – put together with the Nick At Nite TV Land crew, and featuring a track selection that's hipper than you might think! There's a few on here that we could have done without, but there's more than enough great numbers to make the set worthwhile – especially because they haven't been reissued elsewhere. Titles include "Mannix" by Lalo Schifrin, "Charlie's Angels" by Jack Elliott, "77 Sunset Strip" by Warren Barker, "Vega$" by Dominic Frontiere, "Cannon" by John Parker, "Hart to Hart" by Mark Snow, "Hawaiian Eye" by Warren Barker, "Tenspeed & Brownshoe" by Mike Post, "Theme From Checkmate" by John Williams, and "Harry O" by The John Gregory Orchestra. 16 tracks in all! CD

✨✧ Rowan & MartinRowan & Martin's Laugh In ... LP
Epic, 1968. Very Good+ Gatefold ... Out Of Stock
A selection of routines from one of the hippest TV shows of the 60s – Rowan & Martin's Laugh In, a great assemblage of sketches and jokes that kind of take an older vaudeville aesthetic, and filter it through a 60s world of freaks, oddballs, and counter-cultural figures! The album's got some numbers that were quite emblematic of the show – and which came to be associated with it strongly – like "Here Comes The Judge" and "Sock It To Me", performed by a cast that includes Goldie Hawn, Larry Horvis, Arte Johnson, and Henry Gibson. LP, Vinyl record album
