✨✧ Mondo SangueNo Place For A Man (Il Villagio Delle Donne)(180 gram pressing) ... LP
All Score Media (Germany), 2018. New Copy ... Out Of Stock
The cover looks vintage, the music sounds vintage, but the whole thing is actually contemporary – although also recorded as a soundtrack for the title film, which was first released in 1971! Mondo Sangue did something similar with their last album, and the results here are every bit as great as that one – a really well-done homage to the vintage western soundtrack modes of the spaghetti generation – served up with instrumentation and production that are completely faithful to the genre! Yet there's also something really special going on here – a mode we might call a "no clunker" approach – as every song on the record is really great, and each of them stand out almost like the one or two key songs on older famous soundtracks. Titles include "A Stranger Arrives", "Wanted", "Il Portoghese", "Sto Paese Non E Niente Per Te", "Somewhere In The West", "Farewell", and "The Cult". (Soundtracks, Sound Library) LP, Vinyl record album
(Limited to 666 hand-numbered copies – and includes download!)
