✨✧ VariousCreeping Cinquefoil ... CD
Buried Treasure (UK), 1970s/2018. New Copy ... Out Of Stock
A celebration of 5 years of the Buried Treasure label – an imprint that most folks know for uncovering older rare material – but who've also done some great new recordings of their own in recent years! This package serves up both sides of Buried Treasure – rare tracks that are often from sound library sources, mixed with a few others that rework some of that source material, topped off by new recordings that are in a moody, often-electronic mode! Titles include "Strange Angels" by Yuri Morozov, "UFO Invasion" by Gerhard Narholz, "Reading Abbey" by Revbjelde & Dolly Dolly, "Spaces In Time" by Sammy Burdson & John Fiddy, "I See (Revbjelde edit)" by Hurst, "Judy Switched Off The TV" by Alan Moore & The Dandelion Set, "Bubblegum" by Anne Dudley, "Gather The Winds" by Tongues Of Fire, "Ice Cream Man (cue 15)" by John Baker, "Sugar Man (cue 3)" by John Baker, "Redherringbone" by Dandelion Set, and "Be-An 3" by Alan Sutcliffe. John HawksworthGoal – The World Cup 1966 ... CD
El (UK), 1966. New Copy ... $3.99 13.99
Totally wonderful sounds from UK soundtrack giant John Hawksworth – penned for a film on the heated World Cup of 1966, but served up in John's usual blend of jazzy styles, mod elements, and beautifully tuneful grooves! The CD presents the music with lots of snippets of dialogue from the film – not talking, but a bit of narration, served up in a cool "proper" 60s Brit voice, which adds a surprising amount of charm to the album – but without getting in the way of the music – which does a nice "dance" with the narration on most numbers. Most titles are named after different matches represented on screen – "England V Portugal", "North Korea V Portugal", "England V Mexico", "Russia V Hungary", and so on! ✨✧ Walt Disney Studio Sound Effects DepartmentChilling Thrilling Sounds Of The Haunted House ... LP
Disneyland, 1964. New Copy (reissue)... $16.99 19.99
One of the coolest records ever produced by Disneyland Records – and one of the creepiest too! The record features one side of raw sound effects – top-shelf level material, of the sort that the Disney crew would save and use in cartoons and films – and the other side features similar sounds, but structured with a more narrative approach – almost making for a record that's sort of a ghost story in sound! Titles include "The Very Long Fuse", "The Dogs", "The Unsafe Bridge", "The Martian Monsters", "Chinese Water Torture", and "Drips & Splashes". (Halloween, Sound Library) LP, Vinyl record album

VariousEscape In Time – Popular British Television Themes Of The 60s ... CD
El (UK), 1960s. New Copy ... $6.99 13.99
Way more than just the usual collection of famous British TV themes from the 60s – as this set offers up some great rare nuggets, unusual versions, and some obscure tracks that are all pretty darn fresh to our American years! As you well know if you're a fan of anything pop culture from this generation, British TV was way hipper than most of the American small screen in the 60s – from the stories, to the settings, to the wonderfully cool themes and backing music that supported the show – often a cool hybrid of postwar Soho jazz modes and lots of the best soundtrack/sound library styles that were evolving in the hands of an elite few on the London scene. Some of the best and grooviest of that generation are presented here – in an overstuffed collection that includes "Gurney Slade" by Max Harris, "Danger Man" by Red Price Combo, "The Avenger" by Johnny Dankworth, "Tuesday Rendezvous" by Bert Weedon, "Face To Face" by Frank Chacksfield, "Comedy Playhouse" by Ron Grainer, "What The Papers Say" by London Philharmonic, "Monty Python's Flying Circus" by Eastman Wind Ensemble, "The Saint" by Les Reed, "Fireball" by Don Spencer, "Z Cars" by Johnny Keating, and a number of tracks from The Prisoner too! ✨✧ John Baker, Delia Derbyshire, & David CainBBC Radiophonic Music (pink vinyl pressing) ... LP
BBC/Silva Screen (UK), 1968. New Copy ... Out Of Stock
One of the first great recorded documents of the genius of the BBC Radiophonic Music laboratories – home to pioneering electronic talents Delia Derbyshire, John Baker, and David Cain! The trio are heard here on a set of amazing tracks recorded for BBC radio plays in the 60s, plus a bit of early TV work too – tunes that are sometimes spooky and noisy, sometimes playful, often tuneful, and always revolutionary – really groundbreaking use of electronic instrumentation in the world of popular entertainment! Baker and Derbyshire have gotten especially strong acclaim in recent years – and along with Cain, the set presents their early genius in all its glory – on tunes that are still pretty amazing after all these decades! Titles include "Milky Way", "PIGS", "The Frogs Wooing", "Boys & Girls", "Time & Tune", "Artbeat", "Sea Sports", "The Missing Jewel", "Air", "Crossbeat", and "Autumn & Winter". LP, Vinyl record album
