Cree (Germany), Early 80s. New Copy (pic cover)... Out Of Stock
Rare Caribbean grooves, remixed with just a slight dose of contemporary elements – yet still sounding very much like the warm originals that the Cree label has been uncovering over the years! The choice of mixers is great – and most tracks are slightly picked up in groove, but not too much – with a strong sensitivity to the best elements that make the originals shine, expanded out just a bit more. Titles include "Music Makes The World Go Round (Al Kent edit)" by Hamilton Brothers, "I Believe (Waxist edit)" by Zodiac featuring Denyse Plummer, "Beat The Drum (Keshav's jus now rework)" by Mansa Musa, and "All Nite Tonight (Nomad's reel to realness mix)" by Barbara Hernandez. Cree (Germany), Late 80s. New Copy ... $18.99 24.99
Great grooves from Brother Reistance – tracks that are aimed at the dancefloor, but which also have a strong social message too! "Tonite Is De Night" is a cool call to action, set to a rhythm with tight tropical touches – and "Crucial Decision" is presented here in the 1992 version, with skittish rhythms topped with a nice steel drum keyboard part! "Rapso Space Dub" is unreleased, and a nicely spooky sort of groove – and "Nation Time" is a great late take on the tropical disco mode! 12-inch, Vinyl record

Grand Groove, Mid 80s. Very Good ... $0.99
A nice nice bit of 80s groove! Patrick Adams handled the mix, and the cut's got a bit of an electro feel, mixed with some stronger than usual vocals for a club cut like this. Nice hook, and some good 80s keyboards and drum machine beats! 12-inch, Vinyl record

Jonny ChingasPhone Home (voc, inst) ... 12-inch
Columbia, 1982. Very Good+ ... $1.99
We've never been sure if Johnny Chingas ever cut a record for Columbia, because we've only known this one on 12" single version, but the cut's strong enough that we'd love to find one if it's out there. A very nice mellow soul groove, with some touches of 80's production, and a sweet soul track about the virtues of the telephone. Nice stuff, and with an instrumental b-side! 12-inch, Vinyl record
