Cheap NastiesCheap Nasties (with download) ... LP
HoZac, 1977. New Copy (reissue)... $15.99
Raw and buzzing Aussie punk from Perth's Cheap Nasties! The notion of punk rock as a definable style or any kind of exacted sound was still really in an early stage worldwide as early is this incendiary record was recorded in 1977, and being from a city that's as remote as Perth in some ways – culturally and geographically – Cheap Nasties really had no peers or heroes to try and live up to, they just make a hell of a fierce, garage-y and tuneful racket. Timeless stuff! Includes "Cheap And Nasty", "Hit And Run", "Stolen Property", "You Rip Me Up", "Johnny Is A Heartbreaker", "Destroy All Planets", "Dancing", "The Face" and more. HoZac, 1975. Near Mint- (pic cover, reissue)... $4.99
Power pop genius from Dwight Twilley Band – tight, perfectly-crafted, irresistible tunes from a master – and done years before the power pop boom of the later 70s! "Shark" has Brit Invasion inspired harmonies that are infectious as can be – just a killer mix of pop hooks and gritty edge. "Burnin Sand" is another uber-catchy, should be classic. 7-inch, Vinyl record

Vector CommandSystem 3 (with download) ... LP
HoZac, Early 80s. New Copy (reissue)... $15.99
Very moody sounds from Vector Command – a San Francisco duo who grew out of the legendary Crime – but who sound completely different to that group on this record! The sound is highly electronic, and in the deeper reaches of the dark wave spectrum – with a few tunes that hit a more upbeat, song-styled structure – mixed with others that are more textural and eerie – all with a muted vibe that definitely fits the cover! Think of Cabaret Voltaire in "Nag Nag Nag" mode, and you'll definitely get the vibe of this one – especially given the distortion on the vocals. Titles include "Sonic Inferno", "Rev Dub 1", "Ports Of Venus", "Emergency Music Ward", "Manifesto", and "Girls". LP, Vinyl record album
(Limited to 500 copies – with download available if you email after purchase.)

✨✧ FUKDetroit 1977 – Road Kill/I Got A Head ... 7-inch
HoZac, 1977. New Copy (pic cover, reissue)... Temporarily Out Of Stock
A late 70s punk era single by FUK (F––d Up Kids) – a short-lived Detroit group with vocalist/lyricist Sue Rynski & a pre-Mission Of Burma Roger Miller handling all the instrumentation! This is purportedly the only couple songs they ever recorded, and it's pretty incredible! Both tracks are in a rawer, more sneering and feral punkish mode than the finely-honed postpunk Miller would do with Mission Of Burma, but his playing is recognizable in the kind of steely, tense tone, which gives this a totally unique sound for the time. Rynski's vocals are great, too, wild and brash all the way! 7-inch, Vinyl record

✨✧ Baby GrandeBaby Grande (with download) ... LP
HoZac, Mid 70s. New Copy (reissue)... Out Of Stock
A pretty incredible, heretofore unreleased blast of mid 70s glam inspired proto punk from Cranberra, Australia's Baby Grande – with the crunchy riffs and raucous rhythms of some of the rawest bands of their kind anywhere on the globe, an ear for hooks that rivals the catchiest glam rockers, and an unvarnished sound that's seriously great – all the more facsinating given that the band includes Steve Kilbey and Peter Koppes, later to found neo-psych heroes The Church! Includes "Pure, White & Deadly", "Going There & Back", "Madam Lash", "Gettin' Away With Murder", "Zephyr", "Your So Continental", "As Above So Below" and more. LP, Vinyl record album

HoZac, Early 70s. New Copy 2LP Gatefold ... Out Of Stock
Unsung early 70s genius from Dwight Twilley & Phil Seymour – a few years earlier than their legendary power pop in the Dwight Twilley Band, and a pretty stunning batch of tightly melodic material that's just raw enough – top shelf stuff seeing proper release for the first time ever! Stunningly, these are essentially home recordings, made while they were knocking around their hometown of Tulsa in '73 & '74, but it's pretty freaking incredible how fully realized the sound and overall craft are here. This is no grainy batch of workshop material, nor does it sound like demos or aural blueprints of glories to come – it's incredibly catchy and full of great songs with killer harmonies. The best package yet in the Hozac Archival series! Includes "Love Is A Train", "Hot Ma", "Lovin' Me", "No Resistance", "Come And See Me", "Little Stars", "Didn't You", "You Can't Remember It", "Pop Bottle", "Miserable Lady", "Rock Yourself Son", "You're My Lover", "Release Me" and more. LP, Vinyl record album
(Includes download and gatefold notes.)

✨✧ LowlifeLeaders/White Lightning/Thinking Natural ... 7-inch
HoZac, Late 70s. New Copy (pic cover, reissue)... Out Of Stock
Vital roar from late 70s Canada by Lowlife – maybe the first ever punk band from Winnipeg! Given the monsters pictured on the sleeve, you might think "Leaders" would be super gnarly, but it's a pretty hooky track, though plenty raw. "White Lightning" isn't a punk version of the George Jones tune, but another high flying Lowlife original, and it does have a little bit of rootsy fuel to the guitar and bass, maybe inspired by X...not an inspiration we'd ever complain about if so! "Thinking Natural" slays, too. 7-inch, Vinyl record
