✨✧ MorgenMorgen (3CD set – with bonus tracks) ... CD
Probe/Now Again, 1969. New Copy ... Out Of Stock
The one and only album from the enigmatic Steve Morgen – and a set that's gone on to become something of a psychedelic legend over the years! The set is fantastic right from the very first note – with searing guitars, heavy drums, and these insane vocals that make you feel like Steve was maybe let out of an institution just for the recording – with a sense of mania and isolation still fresh in his mind as he delivers lyrics that really go way beyond the usual for an underground set like this! There's a nicely fuzzy, nicely acid quality to the record – one that has the guitar and vocals sometimes tripping out – but still always pushed forward relatively strongly by the drums, in a way that keeps the record jamming, and avoids most overindulgent tendencies! And amidst this all, Morgen's actually got some compelling ideas in his songwriting – a sense of brightness that sparkles out amidst the void. Titles include "Eternity In Between", "Purple", "Love", "She's The Nitetime", and "Welcome To The Void". Amazing reissue – with lots of bonus material! CD2 is overflowing with bonus tracks – including "All I Know", "Woke Up This Morning", "Everything's Gone", and alternate versions of "Purple", "She's The Nitetime", "Love", "Beggin Your Pardon", and "Welcome To The Void". CD3 features 11 more instrumentals – some alternates too! CD

✨✧ VariousWe're An American Band – A Journey Through The USA Hard Rock Scene 1967 to 1973 (3CD set) ... CD
Grapefruit (UK), Late 1960s/Early 1970s. Used 3 CDs ... Out Of Stock
A really heady set of tracks from the American scene – music that effortlessly bridges the 60s sounds of garage, blues rock, and psych – and prefaces some of the metal and more guitar-heavy modes to emerge later on in the 70s! The work here definitely shares more with the sounds of the 60s, but also really captures the music at a moment when things were really transforming – groups were getting past a slavish presentation of their influences, finding bold new modes of expression, and really letting their freak flag fly with fuzzy brilliance throughout – all at levels that were also different than some of the longer-spun modes of the European progressive world. As with other Grapefruit packages, the distillation of a sound and scene here is wonderful – and supported with very detailed notes too – in a package that includes 62 tracks in all - with work from Bang, Sudden Death, Dust, Arthur Lee, Boomerang, Cactus, Grand Funk, The Flow, Head Over Heels, Sir Lord Baltimore, ZZ Top, Brigade, Fuse, Conception, Morgen, Coven, Alice Cooper, Nazz, Stack, Spirit, Kim Fowley, SRC, Mass Confusion Rock Band, Society's Children, Omnibus, Wildwood, Human Beinz, The Sound Barrier, Fever Tree, and many others! KraftwerkAutobahn ... LP
Vertigo, 1974. Very Good ... $19.99
A groundbreaking record from Kraftwerk – a set that unified the 70s worlds of analogue electronics and prog rock – yet somehow managed to set the scene for a whole new sound to come! The album's a treasure all the way through – slow-building, and with beautiful bubbling moments that have these surprisingly simple hooks – heard to best effect in the album's classic title cut "Autobahn" – but echoed nicely through the album's other longer tracks too – "Kometenmelodie 1 &2", "Mitternacht", and "Morgenspaziergang". LP, Vinyl record album
(US spaceship label pressing with Masterdisk stamp. Cover has top seam wear, light surface wear.)

✨✧ Amon DuulPsychedelic Underground ... CD
Metronome/Ohr (Germany), 1970. New Copy ... Out Of Stock
Heady work from the German scene of the late 60s – one of the key albums by the first incarnation of Amon Duul, who grew out of the underground commune of the same name! The set's got a loose, almost improvised feel – with some long tracks that definitely make you feel like you're dropping in on the band as they jam together in the studio, mixed with shorter numbers that still somehow manage to convey the same sort of energy, but in a smaller space! Production is nice and open – with some of that murky current of darkness that would come to reign in the Krautrock scene a few years later – and titles include "Mama Duul Und Ihre Sauerkrautband Spielt Auf", "Bitterlings Verwandlung", "Der Garten Sandosa Im Morgentau", and "Ein Wunderhubsches Madchen Traumt Von Sandosa".
