Rare material from a tiny label on the LA scene at the end of the 50s – the kind of company that was thrown up quickly to capture some of the younger talent at the time, and which did a surprisingly good job of recording during its short time on the market! As you'll guess from the title, the label had an ear for both vocal
groups and the kind of catchy rockers that would have played big with the teens – not really pop, as the production is more homegrown and rough around the edges – which
sounds especially nice on the number of female vocal tracks in the package! Titles include the unissued cuts "I'll Conquer The World" and "Treat You Right" by The Devilles, and "Dipsy Doodle" by Linda Strangis – and the rare singles "Little Doll" by The
Five Trojans, "Jump Back Honey" by The
Four Flares, "Love Story" by The Stardusters, "It Happened At The Hop" by the Austin Sisters, "You Only You" by Linda Strangis, "Creator Of Love" by Nicky St Claire, and "Shim Sham" by Billy Bobbs & The Caps.
