✨✧ GoblinLa Via Della Droga (crystal vinyl pressing) ... LP
BTF (Italy), 1977. New Copy Gatefold (reissue)... Out Of Stock
Very rare material from the legendary Goblin – originally written for an Italian cop thriller in 1977! The music ranks with some of the group's best thriller work – with many funky rock passages, plenty of nice keyboards, and lots of fuzzy guitar – but there's also a unique quality that really makes the record stand out, too – maybe some more sensitive passages that have slight Latin touches in the rhythms, and a wider sense of style than just the group's usual jamming – a very hip sound that links this one more to the bigger Italian cop/crime of the period, than some of the other Goblin horror material! In fact, we might well say that this is one of our favorite Goblin records – and one of the funkiest too. (Soundtracks, Rock) LP, Vinyl record album

VariousKeep A Hold On Him – More Garpax Girls ... CD
Ace (UK), 1960s. New Copy ... $11.99 18.99
Sublime female sounds from the 60s – mostly soul, but a bit of rock too – all handled by landmark Cali producer Gary S Paxton! Paxton was a great talent at the time – not only for finding new aritsts, but also bringing them into their best light – coaching young solo singers and girl groups on some of their first trips into professional recording studios in some cases, so that the performances are remarkably assured and strong – girlish or naive-sounding only when the theme of the song calls for it, and more often surprisingly powerful for the early 60s period! As usual with Ace Records, the sound and the package are wonderful – crystal-clear remastering, and notes that show the whole underground world in which Paxton was a key! Includes "Just A Little Bit More" by The Idols, "Losing Control", "It's A Lonely World" and "A Tear" by Mary Saxton, "Keep A Hold On Him" and "Operator Operator" by Beatrice Lee, "I Won't Be Hurt Anymore" by Josephine Sunday, "Reap What You Sow" by Linda Mackey, "Why Mist I Cry" by The Idols, "Yosemite Sam" by Judy & The Jades, "It Kinda Picks Me Up" by Tanya Marie and more. 24 tracks in all. ✨✧ Ronny Pellers Satin SoundRonny Pellers Satin Sound (with download) ... LP
Perfect Toy (Germany), 1968. New Copy (reissue)... Out Of Stock
A wonderfully groovy album by a wonderfully groovy group – one headed up by singer/hornman Ronny Peller, who spent a fair bit of time working in German nightclubs before issuing this debut album with his group! Ronny's clearly a consummate entertainer – able to deliver a solo, then sing a song – while the Satin Sound combo works with plenty of influences from American jazz and soul, so that there's a strong groove on most numbers – maybe early funk touches mixed in with jazzier bits, all a perfect fit for Peller's English language lyrics. And while the front cover might have Ronny and the group dressed like some hotel band, they're more in the mode of the kind of act you'd find working some small Rathskeller stage in late 60s Munich – sounding great on tunes that include "One Day's Love", "Coming Home Babe", "Tracy", "From The North", "Baby I'm For Real", "Anna", "Baby It's You", and "Crystal Blue Persuasion". (Jazz, Rock) LP, Vinyl record album
(Limited to 500 numbered copies – with bonus download too!)
