VariousSenza Decoro – Liebe & Anarchia In Switzerland 1980 to 1990 ... LP
Strut (UK), 1980s. New Copy 2LP Gatefold ... $31.99 33.99
A brilliant batch of electronic, cold wave, and post-punk tracks – all drawn from the farther reaches of the Swiss underground of the 80s – a scene that was far more secret than those in the UK, Germany, or other European hotbeds of electronic experimentation! We'd heard only a few of these groups before – and back in the day, we were constantly searching for Euro electronic and new wave records – and the work that Strut have done to put the whole thing together is wonderful, as these rare gems are also illuminated with detailed notes that really shine a light on the darker corners of this sonic scene. Titles include "Anfang" by Mittageisen, "Le Jour L'Ennui" by Aboriginal Voices, "Boat Song" by Lilliput, "Asho II" by Bells Of Kyoto, "Labyrinth" by Jurg Nutz, "Basic Ground Without Voice" by Konx, "Soyledir" by Cafe Turk, "Nightmare" by Unknownmix, "Arbeiter" by Schamanen Circel, and "Glettscher" by El Deux. ✨✧ Lori VambeSpace Time Dreamtime – The Four Dimensional Music Of Lori Vambe (Drumland Dreamland/Drumgita Solo) ... LP
Drumony/Strut (UK), 1982. New Copy 2LP ... Out Of Stock
Very cool music from UK experimentalist Lori Vambe – an artist who works here on two very percussive albums that were issued on his own label back in the 80s, but with a style that's really unlike anything else we can think of! The music has a bit more punch than the "dreamtime" title might make you expect – but it's also not all drums, either – as instead Vambe has a way of using a variety of other instruments, including the stringed instrument on the cover, in a way that pulsates rhythmically with the percussion – all with a spare and haunting sound that's maybe a bit like some sort of post-punk expansion on the early ideas of Moondog! The set features the two full albums Drumgita Solo and Drumland Dreamland – the latter of which has a slightly fuller instrumental palette – and titles include "Un Minuto (Two)", "Going Home Boogie (One)", "Strumelody", "Drumsong (Three)", "Ydolemurd", and "Hum Drum Dring (Two)". (Out Sound, Rock) LP, Vinyl record album

✨✧ SantanaSantana III (Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab) ... LP
Columbia/Mobile Fidelity, 1971. Near Mint- Gatefold ... Temporarily Out Of Stock
One of the most searing, soaring albums ever from Santana – a set that takes all the power of the previous two records, and packs it into one tight little set! There's plenty of Latin influences going on – mixed with heavy fuzz from Carlos, and lots of jazz and funky touches too – way more happening on the rhythm tip than most of Santana's contemporaries – which is why the record continues to find such a wonderfully wide audience over the years. Drop cuts like "Batuka","Toussaint L'Overture", "Jungle Strut", or "Para Los Rumberos" next to tracks by War, Mandrill or Tower Of Power and you'll see what we mean – and titles also include "No One To Depend On","Taboo", "Guajira" and "Everything's Coming Our Way". ✨✧ Silverhead16 & Savaged ... LP
MCA, 1973. Very Good ... Out Of Stock
A classic set from Silverhead – a group who never fully got their due! Frontman Michael Des Barres is a SiriusXM dj these days, but he really gives these guys the right sort of badass energy to go with their searing guitar-heavy sound – a mix of two electrics, plus bass, at a level that has the same focused fuzz of Thin Lizzy, but maybe a bit more sexy strut overall. Titles include "Hello New York", "More Than Your Mouth Can Hold", "Rock Out Claudette Rock Out", "16 & Savaged", "This Ain't A Parody", and "Heavy Hammer". LP, Vinyl record album
(Cover has some edge wear, corner bumps.)

ArgentAll Together Now ... LP
Epic, 1972. Near Mint- Gatefold ... $7.99
One of the standout moments in the career of Rod Argent – a record that gave his self-named group one of their biggest hits ever, yet a set that still kept all the depth and diversity of their other records too! The album starts out with the group's famous "Hold Your Head Up" – the anthemic strutter that crossed over big, and which burns here with plenty of great organ lines from Rod. Other numbers really mix things up – rocking harder than Rod's Zombies work, but also showing some complicated sensibilities too – brought out nicely by co-producer Chris White, who also wrote most of the songs on the date with Argent. Titles include "Pure Love", "He's A Dynamo", "Hold Your Head Up", "Be My Lover Be My Friend", "Keep On Rolling", and "I Am The Dances Of Ages". LP, Vinyl record album
(80s blue label pressing. Cover has light wear.)

ChampsGo Champs Go ... LP
Challenge, 1958. Good ... $24.99
A shot of tequila and a whole lot more – one of the few albums issued by the legendary Champs, a group who helped reinvent the sound of instrumental rock at the start of the 60s! The group's classic "Tequila" is a very familiar mix of raunchy sax, strutting guitar, and some slightly south of the border rhythms – and the other tunes here follow suit beautifully – offering up some of the grittiest side of late 50s/early 60s instrumental rock you could hope to find. The album's a definitely all-killer, no-filler set – and in addition to "Tequila", titles also include "Go Champ Go", "I'll Be There", "Sky High", "Lollipop", "Night Beat", "Robot Walk", "Midnighter", and "Train To Nowhere". LP, Vinyl record album
(Original 2-color label pressing! Cover has a split bottom seam with wide clear tape, light wear on spine, light surface wear & aging.)

CrowCrow Music ... LP
Amaret, 1969. Near Mint- ... $19.99 24.99
A boldly strutting debut from Crow – a group who are maybe a bit forgotten in terms of the pop music history books, but who were really up-and-comers on the American hard rock scene at the end of the 60s! The lead off cut on the album is their great "Evil Woman" – a bassy, fuzzy track that's got some very catchy lead vocals – of the sort that would have sounded great coming out of an AM radio through that tiny speaker that graced the dashboards of most cars in 1970. And the rest of the record is equally nice – with cuts that include "Gonna Leave A Mark", "Busy Day", "Rollin", "White Eyes", "Thoughts", "Da Da Song", and "Sleepy Woman". LP, Vinyl record album
(Cover has light wear.)

✨✧ Pink FloydPiper At The Gates Of Dawn ... LP
EMI (UK), 1967. Near Mint- ... Temporarily Out Of Stock
A brilliant bit of psychedelia – still as fresh today as it was many decades back – and the crowning achievement of Pink Floyd during the early Syd Barrett years! The album's got all the best elements of the group firmly in place – the penchant for long-jamming tracks that still manage to always maintain a sharp edge – mixed with some of the wittier, more playful lyrics that Barrett brought to the group – all wrapped up with a sense of depth and darkness that goes way beyond most of their contemporaries. The record's a masterpiece through and through – from its first guitar-heavy jam on "Astronomy Domine", through the strutting, vamping madness of "Bike" – all up and down other gems that include "Lucifer Sam", "The Gnome", "Take Up Thy Stethoscope & Walk", "Interstellar Overdrive", "Chapter 24", and "The Scarecrow". LP, Vinyl record album
(180 gram US pressing from 2016.)

✨✧ Ian DuryNew Boots & Panties!! ... LP
Stiff, 1977. Very Good- ... Out Of Stock
A seminal early album from Ian Dury – recorded before his funky dancefloor crossover work, and a key link between those sides and his earlier pub rock years. Dury's wonderfully deadpan vocal approach is already very firmly in place – and in fact perhaps sounds even more disaffected next to the heady guitars and stiffly strutting instrumentation of the set. Chaz Jankel's just developing his bassy style at this point – soon to explode more strongly on later work – but the core sound is very firmly in place on the set! Titles include "Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll", "My Old Man", "Wake Up & Make Love With Me", "Clever Trevor", "If I Was A Woman", "Sweet Gene Vincent", "Billericay Dickie" and more.
