Dandy (Dandy Livingstone)Dandy Returns (orange vinyl pressing) ... LP
Trojan/Real Gone, 1968. New Copy (reissue)... $22.99 23.99
Dandy Livingstone steps off the plane on the cover – but the music inside is a key example of the work he was doing overseas – as Dandy produced the whole set of recordings in the late 60s London scene, where he was serving as a key bridge between that city and Kingston – as part of a huge transatlantic wave of Jamaican musical growth! Dandy's vocals are laidback, and kind of slide into the mix – almost letting the rhythms really set the tone, with less of the American soul styles of some of his contemporaries. Titles include "Your Daddy Is Home", "Doctor Sure Shot", "It's A Sad World", "My Nights Are So Lonely", "Put On Your Dancing Shoes", "You're Not The Same Girl", and "Run Come Have Fun". LP, Vinyl record album
(Limited edition of 1000 – on orange vinyl!)
