Probably the best-ever volume in this great series! This 4th volume is a stunning batch of rare jazz funk tracks – and the selection's a bit more obscure than some of the other Groovy volumes. There's some great cuts from Eastern Europe – like "Nijana" and "Horka Cesta" by Jana Koubkova, "Chain Of Fools" by The Flamingo Group, and "Black Pigeon" by Michael Naura. There's other nice ones from the American soul scene – like the amazing "Date With The Rain" by Eddie Kendricks, "Take Yo Praise" by Camille Yarborough, "Battened Ships" by Odyssey, and "How Long" by Thelma Jones. And there's even some other nice rare jazzy bits – like "Theme From The French Connection" by Don Ellis and "I Thought It Was You" by Kimiko Kasai & Herbie Hancock.
